A new Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer reveals a lot more of Kang the Conqueror's (Jonathan Majors) mysterious army - and the group of freedom fighters opposing his reign over the Quantum Realm. The upcoming film is set to kick off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and introduce Jonathan Majors's villain, the primary antagonist of the Multiverse Saga. Kang won't be unopposed when he finally arrives to the MCU, however, with a fierce group of Quantum Realm rebels helping Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), and Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton) in their fight against the villainous conqueror.

In anticipation of Kang's debut in Quantumania, Marvel Entertainment gives audiences a healthy dose of new footage in the "Battle" promo, which includes the best look yet at Kang's army and several brand-new characters. Check out the trailer below:

The new footage shows a falling out between Ant-Man and Kang, who both lead armies into an all-out war across the Quantum Realm. In a desperate attempt to save his friends and family from Kang's mechanized infantry, Scott appears to ally himself with a group of freedom fighters, leading an attack on the Quantum Realm city of Chronopolis.

Who Are The Quantum Realm's Freedom Fighters?

Katy O'Brian as Jentorra in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

It appears the fallout of Kang's mysterious deal with Ant-Man will cause the tenuous political hierarchy of the Quantum Realm to fracture entirely, sparking war between the Conqueror's forces and a group of freedom fighters. This band of rebels is led by Jentorra, Katy O'Brian's character who is native to the Quantum Realm. Jentorra is backed up by other refugees from Kang's Quantum Realm conquest, who apparently are large enough in number to lead a full-scale assault on Chronopolis.

Even the most knowledgeable of comic book readers may be unfamiliar with Jentorra, an extremely obscure character from Marvel Comics who is about to make her live-action debut. Jentorra is an inhabitant of K'ai, a planet that exists within the Microverse, known in the MCU as the Quantum Realm. Given her apparent leadership role among the inhabitants of the Quantum Realm, it also appears as though Quantumania's Jentorra will retain her K'ai royal title, keeping in line with her comic book counterpart.

As allies in Ant-Man and the Wasp's fight against Kang, Jentorra and the K'ai people give the heroes a real chance at defeating the villainous conqueror. Appropriately, it also appears as though the arrival of Ant-Man and the Wasp is exactly the event that the people of the Quantum Realm have been waiting for to break free of Kang's rule once and for all. Whether or not these heroes united can truly defeat Kang remains to be seen, but they may indeed stand a fighting chance when they finally come to blows with the supervillain in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
