With Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp set to hit the big screen in just over two weeks, IMAX unveiled special artwork, highlighting just how big and badass The Wasp will be. Although, international fans will have to wait a little while longer.

Starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, as the titular Ant-Man and Wasp respectively, the film is the follow-up to the 2015 blockbuster debut of the MCU's smallest (and sometimes largest) hero in Ant-Man. Reportedly taking place between two vastly different kinds of wars - Civil and Infinity - the hotly anticipated sequel will see Scott Lang (Rudd) teaming up with Hope Van Dyne (Lilly) in order to confront secrets from the past and put a stop to the aspirations of the villainous Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen).

According to IMAX, Ant-Man and The Wasp will be one of the clearest and most immersive experiences, with selected scenes set to feature 26 percent more picture in the frame than standard theaters. Though Rudd was the central focus on-screen in the original film, turning a lesser-known comic property into a mainstream draw with a playful performance as the criminal-turned-hero, Lilly was considered by many to be a standout. It's a belief both Marvel and IMAX seem to agree with, not only offering the Wasp equal billing for the sequel but now putting her front and center of their latest artwork. Check it out below.

The image is both a pleasing and welcome one, with the clearly fierce, strong, and incredibly capable daughter of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) previously relegated to training Scott on how to fight and utilize the powers of the Ant-Man rather than tackling missions herself. It's something Marvel have seemingly rectified on the second go-around, with the trailers already emphasizing the more kickass aspects of the character.

Another neglected aspect of the original Ant-Man was the rich material that could have been mined in the relationship between Hope Van Dyne and her father. With the previously proposed rescue of her mother, Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer), from the Quantum Realm set to be an integral element of the plot, however, it's a dynamic that will hopefully be more overtly explored.

Fans of Rudd need not worry, though, with the IMAX artwork providing another glimpse at the popular miniature hero. But, now armed with the suit gifted to her in the MCU post-credits scene of Ant-Man, boasting far superior gadgets, as well as her own newly created color scheme, Hope Van Dyne looks set to steal the show in a far more direct and dramatic fashion.

Though rumors continue to circulate that she may well be dusted by the end of the movie, courtesy of the infamous Thanos snap, and only play a small part in the still-untitled Avengers 4, there is no denying that she will loom sufficiently large in the next MCU installment. As for whether she'll be afforded the opportunity to break both the competing records of Scott Lang and Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), we'll find out in July.
