The cast of Ant-Man and The Wasp features many familiar faces, but also quite a few new and important characters taken from Marvel Comics. Marvel Studios' 20th movie may not have a cast quite as star-studded as that of Avengers: Infinity War, but it does feature screen legends like Laurence Fishburne and Michelle Pfeiffer.
It's been three years since Ant-Man hit theaters. Thanks to a smaller budget than most Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, the final $519 million box office haul was a success. Marvel fast-tracked the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and rearranged the Phase 3 slate in the process to bring the franchise back.

Ant-Man & The Wasp's Main Heroes
Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man - Despite a history of crime, Scott turned his life around after leaving prison and became the hero known as Ant-Man - even if he had to steal to do it. This new lifestyle led to him being put on house arrest after the events of Civil War, where he sided with Team Cap. He'll return to being a hero in the sequel, where his shrinking and growing abilities are sure to help save the day.
Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/Wasp - After taking a teaching role in the first movie, Hope is finally going to step into the fray herself. She's trained for this her entire life, and has been given an even more advanced suit than her partner. Wasp can shrink just like Ant-Man, but she also has wings that allow her to fly and blasters to pack an extra punch in combat. With the help of her father, they're still trying to rescue her mother from the Quantum Realm.
Michael Douglas as Hank Pym - Hank's days as a superhero may be behind him, but he's still a vital part of this heroic team. The creator of Pym Particles and both suits for Scott and Hope, he's usually the smartest guy in the room. He's on the run with Hope as they continue their Quantum Realm research.
Returning Ant-Man Friends & Family
Michael Peña as Luis - The fast-talking, long-winded, and easily distracted best friend to Scott. He's left the life of crime to start X-Con Home Security, a security company of his own. In what could be a tie to when Scott opened Ant-Man Security Solutions in the comics, Luis will be around and help anyway he can.
Tip 'T.I.' Harris as Dave - Another former criminal turned good, Dave has already helped Scott save the day before. He's now employed by X-Con Home Security, although his talents as a getaway driver may not be put to the best use.
David Dastmalchian as Kurt - A wizard with a computer, the Russian keeps to himself but gets the job done. Also working with his friends at X-Con Home Security, there may not be a problem he can't fix. That could be put to the test if they're roped into helping Scott with the latest threat.
Abby Ryder Fortson as Cassie Lang - Scott's adorable daughter Cassie only sees the good in him. He's always been a hero in his eyes, and in turn she inspires Scott to be a better person. Cassie now has dreams of being a superhero too, and with her eventually becoming Stature in the comics, that may just be something these films are already building towards.
Judy Greer as Maggie - Scott's ex-wife has come around to accepting him back into their lives. She's moved on and is focused on raising their daughter, Cassie. They may not make up the perfect family, but Maggie and everyone else is at least putting in the effort to make it work.
Bobby Cannavale as Paxton - As a police officer in San Francisco, he's now part of a difficult situation. He's already arrested Scott once before, but since helped find a loophole to allow him to continue his heroic duties. His ethical dilemma could be put to the test once again.
