A new photo from the set of Ant-Man and the Wasp provides us a new look at Paul Rudd's superhero costume. As of now, not much is known regarding what the narrative of the sequel will tread, but based on the official synopsis for the movie, it seems that it would take a more personal approach, as it will directly tackle the disappearance and possible reemergence of Janet Van Dyne, wife to Michael Douglass' Hank Pym, mother to Evangeline Lily's Janet Van Dyne and the original Wasp. The yet-to-be-introduced character will be played by actress Michelle Pfeiffer. We already know that she has been lost in the quantum realm for several years now, but if Scott was able to return from the supposed one-way trip, there is a good chance that she could too.

The sequel which has been in production since August, has been filming some outside shots in the last several days. Just last week, we saw our first look at Lily's full Wasp costume complete with its helmet on, as well as a shot of Walton Goggins as one of the new characters, Sonny Burch, in a usual white shirt and tie. This time, however, it is Scott Lang who was snapped outside doing some scenes for the film.

Courtesy of Atlanta-based photographer, Atlanta Filming, the snap does not feature Rudd. Instead, it was his stunt double sporting the red and black suit. There seem to be some significant modifications in the body armor, especially with the color placing in it. It now even slightly resembles Deadpool's garb which also has some prominent red sections coupled with small black details and paneling. It is currently unknown if the change has something to do with the suit's abilities but we can expect that Scott's new ability to get bigger as first seen in Captain America: Civil War will also be used in the sequel. Check out the snap which was posted on Twitter below:

Now this is super cool. This is #AntMan's stunt double. If you know any kids that this may help uplift feel free to take it. pic.twitter.com/SIAlSvNGTK— Atlanta Filming (@AtlantaFilming) September 23, 2017

This is not the first time that we have seen the new Ant-Man armor. Late last month, we were treated to a full but zoomed out shot of Rudd donning the costume for Marvel Studios' Hurricane Harvey fundraising campaign video. Having a closer look at it now provides us the opportunity to inspect the alterations done to the suit. We can expect that these changes are courtesy of Hank as Hope's Wasp costume also seemingly underwent a few tweaks itself.

As it appears, Ant-Man And The Wasp will continue to tell a more grounded story compared to other tentpole MCU films -- revolving around personal relationships than saving the world. Scott's side of the family including his daughter, Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson) and her mother Maggie (Judy Greer) are coming back for the sequel, as well as the fan-favorite, Luis (Michael Peña). Meanwhile, newcomers like Laurence Fishburne (Dr. Bill Foster)Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), and Randall Park (Jimmy Woo) will be making their big MCU splash via the Peyton Reed-project.
