T.I. broke into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Ant-Man and he's confirmed that his character Dave will be back for the sequel, Ant-Man & The Wasp. Much like the rest of the Ant-Man supporting cast, T.I. had a small but memorable MCU debut. As part of the Antourage, Dave served various roles, like being the getaway driver (something he wasn't too great at) as well as surveillance. The role was a breakthrough for the rapper as he found a part in one of the industry's biggest franchises, but due to its size, it was never a guarantee that he would make repeat appearances.

With Michael Peña (Luis) and David Dastmalchian (Kurt) both confirming their involvement earlier, though, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before T.I. would be confirmed as well. And now, fans can rest assured that Scott Lang's criminal cohort will be fully assembled when the sequel rolls around.

While speaking to Blackfilm, T.I. confirmed that he will indeed return for Ant-Man & The Wasp. While there is no word on how large of a role Dave and the other supporting cast will have, it is easy to see why they will all be back. Since the first film did not dedicate much time in building out these side characters, having them return should provide an opportunity for that -- even if their primary roles will be comedic ones.

Thanks to the mystery surrounding Ant-Man & The Wasp, it is somewhat difficult to pinpoint how the former felons turned hero sidekicks will be involved. Last time audiences saw Scott (Paul Rudd) was at the end of Captain America: Civil War when Cap was breaking him and the rest of Team Cap out of The Raft. Scott is presumably in hiding, but it appears he won't be able to stay away from Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) for too long.

Luckily, the crew can easily fit into the on-the-run story Lang may well find himself in and even possibly help him stay out of trouble with the law -- or at the very least escape and cover his tracks. Production is set to begin this summer, which makes the timing of this story feel right. But, it will be the final stages of pre-production that allow for some new information on the sequel's story, villain, and more. Until that point, however, T.I.'s return continues to bring back most of the cast from the first.
