Marvel seems to have a formula that just can't miss, with even their more out there movies becoming huge hits. The Guardians of the Galaxy was the first surprise hit for the MCU in 2014, when a lesser-known team became one of the biggest films of the year. Ant-Man was another major success with a risky character in 2015, when fans opened their hearts to the shrinking superhero. Now, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has become one of the most anticipated movies of 2017, set to kick off the summer blockbuster season next month, and the Ant-Man sequel is likely to be another huge hit.

Ant-Man and The Wasp, set for a 2018 release, will see Paul Rudd return as Ant-Man, while Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne also suits up as The Wasp. Michael Douglas and Michael Peña have also been confirmed to be reprising their roles (as Dr. Hank Pym and the fast-talking Luis, respectively), and now another actor has confirmed that he will also be back for round two.

David Dastmalchian, who played hacker Kurt in the original movie, confirmed in an interview with ETOnline that he will be returning for Ant-Man and The Wasp next year.

"Peyton Reed is here and I just got a chance to speak with him the other day and it sounds like Kurt is going to be returning to Ant-Man's world and will be appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp. And we are very very very excited."

In the original Ant-Man, Dastmalchian's Kurt was part of Scott Lang's gang of criminal friends. A talented hacker, his main job in both the heists in the movie was to disable the security systems so that the other team members were able to get in without an alarm being raised.

This return is not too surprising, as Kurt managed to escape the Pym Technologies heist unscathed, and remains friends with Luis and Scott. This does, however, seem to confirm that there may be more heist-style goodness in the sequel, with the gang possibly getting back together again to do a little more well-intentioned crime. Perhaps this time Hope will be aiding and abetting in her Wasp suit, which would be fantastic to see.

However, it is not yet confirmed how much of a role Dastmalchian will have in the sequel, and this may turn out to be a cameo role rather than a larger supporting part. Without having any more details about the core plot of the film, it's hard to speculate, but fans will be pleased to know that the gang from Ant-Man are going to be back together again next year.
