Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will introduce many new Quantum Realm settings to the MCU, which could be inspired by Marvel Comics' map of the Microverse. Marvel Studios doesn't currently hold the rights to the Microverse, so it renamed the subatomic universe for the MCU, dubbing it the Quantum Realm for 2015's Ant-Man and subsequent size-changing projects. Not much of the Quantum Realm has yet been seen in the MCU, even though several locations have been teased, including a mysterious domed city in Ant-Man and the Wasp and an expansion of the minuscule reality in trailers for Phase 5's upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

After spending thirty years trapped in the Quantum Realm, Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) will find herself journeying back into the tiny universe and introducing her family to beings who reside inside the strange dimension. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will debut Quaz (William Jackson Harper), Jentorra (Katy O'Brien), and Lord Krylar (Bill Murray), as well as providing a huge amount of development for Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror, who's been trapped in the Quantum Realm for a number of years. As well as introducing new characters, Quantumania will see Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and his team explore many new territories that could be taking inspiration from Marvel Comics' Homeworld.

8 The Royal City

royal city in the quantum realm in ant-man 2

In Marvel Comics, Homeworld is at the center of the Microverse, formed of several spherical planet-like environments, each one harboring different and incredible qualities and playing host to some mysterious creatures. It seems that Homeworld will be the setting for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, as the trailers for the upcoming Phase 5 film focus on several different locations in the Quantum Realm. One of the most prominent Quantum Realm locations was actually glimpsed during a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment in Ant-Man and the Wasp, as viewers caught a brief look at a domed city after Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) had traveled into the Quantum Realm to retrieve his long-lost wife, Janet.

In Marvel Comics, this city is named the Royal City, housing the Royal Palace, where the ruler of the Microverse has resided since the reign of Lord Dallan Rann and Lady Sepsis millennia ago. The Royal City is a place of towering buildings and beautiful architecture, which is seen in both Ant-Man and the Wasp and the Quantumania trailers, so it's possible this will be a very significant location in the upcoming film. In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Bill Murray will debut as Lord Krylar, who could be the ruler of the Quantum Realm, which would mean he lives in the Royal Palace.

7 Industrial Zone

industrial zone axia in the quantum realm in ant-man 3

Homeworld's Industrial Zone is a hidden area where a robotic workforce builds machines and equipment that aid in expanding the Microverse's star-spanning space fleet. The Industrial Zone is a dark and expansive location, which could be Kang the Conqueror's base of operations in the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Speculation has risen about the true nature of this monumental city, which is known as Axia, but its huge workforce and plethora of ships could be pointing to this being Homeworld's Industrial Zone. It certainly seems like Kang would jump at the chance to command a space fleet due to his ambition to conquer the entire multiverse.

6 First Zone: The Body Banks

body banks in the quantum realm in ant-man 3

In Marvel Comics, the Body Banks are the power center of Homeworld. As the potential source of power to the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it's possible that this would be Kang the Conqueror's key to freedom from his quantum prison, perhaps part of the deal he strikes with Scott Lang in the Quantumania trailers. It's currently unclear who trapped Kang in the Quantum Realm, but it's possible that he would need Scott's help to destroy the Body Banks in order to set him free. This could be the location in which Scott Lang, surrounded by thousands of duplicate Ant-Men, finds himself in the Quantumania trailers.

5 Primal Zone

The Microverse's Primal Zone is an area that shows what Homeworld was like at its birth, a location ravaged by volcanic activity and earthquakes, showing the ancient setting of Homeworld before anyone built cities in the Microverse. In Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, this could be the location where Scott and Cassie Lang, now an MCU superhero, find themselves when they initially journey into the Quantum Realm, as energy seems to be rising from the ground, and rocky structures float all around them. It seems the Primal Zone is something like a wasteland, which could be where the size-changing heroes come into contact with the MCU's version of the Micronauts.

4 Jungle Zone: Tropica

tropica in the quantum realm in ant-man 3

In Marvel Comics, Tropica is a relatively unexplored area of Homeworld housed inside the Jungle Zone, thick with flora and inhabited by various unusual creatures. In the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailers, it looks as though Janet, Hank, and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) are traveling on foot through a jungle while trapped in the Quantum Realm, separated from Scott and Cassie. Marvel's comics stress the fact that monsters live in Tropica, suggesting there could be some incredibly weird and possibly terrifying creatures featured throughout Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

3 The Dead Zone

potential deadzone in the quantum realm in ant-man 3

The Dead Zone is the final resting place of all of Homeworld's citizens, and since speculation is rife that Scott Lang might meet his demise during the events of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, this could be a significant location in the upcoming MCU project. Many have doubts that Scott Lang can succeed in beating Kang the Conqueror in hand-to-hand combat, especially after a recent trailer saw Kang beating Scott black-and-blue. If Scott Lang dies during Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, perhaps the best place to lay him to rest would be in the Dead Zone of the Quantum Realm since he spent so much time in the microscopic universe.

2 Sandzone

sandzone in the quantum realm in ant-man 3

Otherwise known as the Syanite Desert, the Sandzone is a desolate area of Homeworld, scarcely inhabited by various factions from other areas of the Microverse. At several points in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailers, Janet, Hank, and Hope are seen traveling aboard a strange winged creature in a very sandy landscape, which could be the Quantum Realm's Sandzone. Scott Lang also seems to find himself in completely empty locations in the trailers, which see multiple duplicate Ant-Men appear, and this potentially takes place in the Sandzone.

1 Other Homeworld Locations

potential farmzone in the quantum realm in ant-man 3

It's possible that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will explore several other locations of the Quantum Realm's Homeworld, as there's certainly a lot that hasn't been seen in the trailers. Aegypta could be introduced to continue teases of Rama-Tut, a variant of Kang the Conqueror who was first hinted at in Moon Knight. The Farm Zone, the Sea Zone, and the Subzero Zone could all also be featured. However, it may be too much for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to try and debut too many new settings while dealing with the heavy story of Kang the Conqueror and Scott Lang's deal and battle.
