Ant-Man 3 Trailer Release Window Teased By Producer

Producer Brian Gay has teased that the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantunmania trailer will be dropping this fall. This will be the third installment of the series, following two box office successes from the prior movies. Both films have been acclaimed for being more relaxed and humor-filled superhero movies, as their plots have lower stakes than the end-of-the-world situations of most Marvel films. Because of the popularity of the movie, Ant-Man has become a much more prevalent character in the MCU, starring in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame outside his own films.

Ant-Man follows Scott Lang as he dons a Pym suit, a piece of technology that allows him to shrink down or up in size. In his first movie, he faces the villain Cross who wants to use the same suit technology for evil. The addition of hero the Wasp came from Ant-Man and the Wasp, adding Hope van Dyke as Ant-Man's heroic partner. Both films have highlighted the different uses of the suit, delving into the limitations of its shrinking and enlarging powers. Now, after appearing in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, Ant-Man is set to have his third solo film with Quantumania where he will face off against the MCU's next Thanos: Kang the Conqueror. Anticipation is high to see Kang in action after footage of Jonathan Majors in the role was shown at D23.

In an interview with One Take News, Brian Gay discussed the trailer and the movie's time frames for release. Gay revealed how excited he is to showcase more of the new movie in the fall, saying that audiences can look forward to seeing a big Ant-Man adventure. See what Gay said here:

You know, I’m very excited to share that project with you guys early next year. At the moment, one thing I enjoyed about this movie is we’ve always joked that Ant-Man movies go small but this one’s going to go big! We were able to show some things at D23 and we will have more coming in the fall and of course ahead of the premiere early next year but I will say it’s fun to have the whole family back and they’re gonna go quite a big adventure that I think it’s going to feel like a real departure from the previous films.

While Gay's claim of more information being released in the fall is very vague, it is enough to stir excitement. This statement specifically alludes to the release of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantunmania trailer as typically MCU trailers come out around five months before the movie itself. This pattern has become more erratic in Phase 4 of the MCU, as Marvel has sometimes waited to release trailers, something that they have found builds even more hype.

With Ant-Man 3 coming out in the middle of February, the trailer could be released as soon as early October. A second trailer would then be anticipated for the middle of December as the movie's premiere gets closer. With the release of the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantunmania trailer being just around the corner, and the movie following shortly behind, anticipation will continue to build as Marvel sets the stage for the next chapter of the MCU.
