Featuring Scott Lang’s podcast in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania would not only be a fun payoff for the Ms. Marvel gag, but it’d also answer many MCU questions. It’s always been speculated how the regular people of Earth are caught up in the Avengers’ larger-than-life battles and their aftermaths. Being one of the more talkative and open heroes, it makes sense that Ant-Man would be the one to share stories from his perspective. This offers the upcoming Quantumania to slip in a callback to the MCU's Ms. Marvel show.

In Ms. Marvel episode 1, Kamala Khan mentions how Ant-Man was a guest on This Powered Life, a podcast that explores the lives of enhanced individuals. In his episode, titled “Big Me Little Me: A Scott Lang Interview,” he spilled many details about Avengers: Endgame’s Battle of Earth and became the main source of information for the general public. Exploring Scott’s brief podcasting career would not only fit into his newfound celebrity status in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but it’d bring some humor into what looks to be the darkest movie of the trilogy.

Ant-Man's Podcast Should Do More Than Fill Plot Holes

Scott’s podcast already answers one Hawkeye plot hole regarding Ant-Man’s appearance in Rogers: The Musical. While he wasn’t present for the original 2012 Battle of New York, Ant-Man appeared in the Broadway retelling. This could be due to Scott exaggerating his stories to be more exciting for listeners or a simple miscommunication considering he did time-travel back to the event in Endgame. Either way, Scott’s podcast was essentially used as a point of reference for the public to know what happened in the final battle against Thanos.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is setting itself up to be an intense film and a departure from the previous two films’ light tone. Not only will Scott and his loved ones venture through the vastly unexplored Quantum Realm, but they will come face-to-face with Kang the Conqueror, the MCU's next big bad. Getting to hear parts of Scott’s podcast would bring back the humor that Ant-Man is known for and fill audiences in on what he’s been up to during the time between Endgame and Quantumania.

Ant-Man 3 Can't Just Ignore Scott Lang Having A Podcast

The trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opens with Scott accepting and relishing in his newfound celebrity status, and this should be thanks in part to the podcast. Now that he’s on par with the other Avengers (even if people still confuse him for Spider-Man), Scott could let the success of the podcast get to his ego, in turn affecting his relationship with the other Avengers and his loved ones. Perhaps Ant-Man’s new sense of heroism post-Endgame, cleverly worked into Ms. Marvel, will even lead to him overestimating his capability against Kang the Conqueror, and his podcast will be a bigger catalyst in Quantumania than it seems.

Ant-Man’s podcast is filling in many MCU story gaps, from how the public is informed about the Avengers’ activities to how young people like Kamala are inspired to become heroes. It’s an incredibly in-character move for Scott and matches up with the story of his newfound fame that is shown in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer. Having the film call back to it wouldn’t just be a fun nod to Ms. Marvel, but it could potentially play a huge part in Ant-Man’s MCU arc.
