Michelle Pfeiffer will be down to make Ant-Man 3 if the film is in the cards for Marvel Studios. The seasoned actress joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe last year via Peyton Reed's Ant-Man & the Wasp as Janet van Dyne - wife of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and mother of Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lily). She's the original Wasp hero who got lost in the Quantum Realm after going subatomic for a mission, and it wasn't until Scott Lang's (Paul Rudd) that she was found.

Janet's rescue from the Quantum Realm in Ant-Man & the Wasp left a lot of questions, particularly with regard to her newfound abilities and her experiences in the alternate dimension. But with the character, alongside half of the universe turning into dust following Thanos' (Josh Brolin) deadly snap in Avengers: Infinity War, fans didn't see her until the final moments of Avengers: Endgame. With so much mystery surrounding her character, everyone is looking forward to learning more about her, and Pfeiffer says that she's more than willing to continue playing the part in Ant-Man 3.

Catching up with Variety during the red carpet for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Pfeiffer was asked about her Marvel Studios future, while the actress didn't have any specific news to share with regard to Ant-Man 3. However, she enthusiastically revealed that she's game to reprise her superhero role in the future. Watch her interviews below:

The idea that an Ant-Man 3 may not happen has been floating around for months now. Those who are involved in the Marvel Studios sub-series have expressed their interest in continuing playing their characters in the MCU like Rudd and Douglas despite no word yet on the project. Douglas himself even revealed that there are some rumblings about what the next flick will be internally. Fans have started to get more concerned about this possibility seeing as the franchise's Phase 4 slate has already been confirmed, with its Phase 5 shaping up pretty nicely as well. Then again, there's always the possibility that Kevin Feige and his team are just waiting for the right time to announce the movie.

Fans shouldn't worry too much however. Looking back at how Marvel Studios' does their standalone movies, there's a bigger chance that there will be Ant-Man 3 since most of their leading heroes get at least a completed trilogy. And although it wasn't as big of a money-maker like other films in the universe, it earned a decent profit. Story-wise, there's still so much to explore in that world, especially with the Quantum Realm playing a major role in Endgame. It's difficult to imagine that Marvel won't be diving more into the world given how they set-up that alternate dimension in Ant-Man & the Wasp. In any case, it won't be difficult to rope in Pfeiffer to return for the threequel considering that she's a prominent part of the Disney family now.
