Jonathan Majors won't confirm or deny if he's playing Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man 3. News broke out last week that the Lovecraft Country star is joining the MCU as the villain via the upcoming Peyton Reed threequel. Since then, various pieces of fan-created content imagining him as the character have come out. That said, the actor is not divulging information just yet.

Plot details for Ant-Man 3 are still under wraps with Reed still in the process of finishing its narrative, although he previously revealed that they might have finally cracked what the movie will be about. Based on where Ant-Man & The Wasp and Avengers: Endgame left things off, fans can expect Paul Rudd's Scott Lang, Evangeline Lily's Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet van Dyne band back together for a new mission. Considering how pivotal the Quantum Tunnel and Pym Particles were in the time heist, Kang, being a time-traveling villain could be perfect for the upcoming blockbuster.

Majors recently made an appearance at The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and was inevitably asked about the ongoing rumor that he'll be Kang in Ant-Man 3. Understandably, the actor was coy regarding the matter, expertly evading the question. That said, he acknowledged the existence of such reports.

Man, I heard the same thing bro. I heard the same thing. It was like, 'What? What? What?' So, you know, we apparently have the same source because I heard it too.

Ant-Man Kang the Conqueror Quantum Realm

While Majors didn't say anything concrete regarding the rumors that he could be Kang the Conqueror, it's clever on his part not to straight-up deny it. Some actors who are cast in these high-profile franchises tend to lie about boarding projects only to eventually reveal that they're indeed involved in them. It's understandable why they can't be truthful when asked about these matters especially in the MCU which is notoriously known for its secrecy. However, it's also not a good look on them that they straightforwardly lie about it when they can handle things the way Majors did in this interview.

It might take a while before there's any official news about Majors reportedly portraying Kang the Conqueror in the MCU. Ant-Man 3 doesn't even have a release date yet, although recent news claims that it's targeting a 2022 roll out with potential production kicking off some time next year. It's worth noting, however, that this was before Marvel Studios made their latest rescheduling in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Now, there's no more MCU film set to release this year with Black Widow further delayed to May 2021; this has resulted in a domino effect with Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings and Eternals set for July and November respectively. At this point, that could still change depending on how the health crisis shakes out in the next several months, meaning the rest of the Phase 4 slate that's remained unchanged can still move.
