Here's what Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror might look like in Ant-Man 3. While the MCU itself is on-hold right now due to the coronavirus pandemic, that doesn't mean that work hasn't continued at Marvel Studios. Indeed, despite the various release and production delays plaguing the entertainment industry right now, Kevin Feige and his team have continued developing/putting together the stories and creative teams for the MCU's coming installments. That includes Ant-Man 3, which will reportedly feature Majors as Kang, a formidable time-traveling villain from the Marvel comics.

Marvel Studios typically keep details of their upcoming movies under wraps until they're ready to announce. However, an MCU scoop yesterday revealed the Lovecraft Country star's casting in Ant-Man 3, as well as his rumored role in it as Kang the Conqueror. The character will make his MCU debut in Peyton Reed's third Ant-Man film, which will also bring back Paul Rudd's Scott Lang, Evangeline Lily's Hope van Dyne, Michael Douglas' Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet van Dyne.

With Majors' casting in mind, interest in the Kang the Conqueror character has exponentially increased this week, with some fans already starting to imagine what the actor could look like as Kang in the MCU. Digital artist VENOMHOLOGY has come up with a rendering of Majors as the villain, offering fans an idea as to what the character might look like when he makes his highly-anticipated debut. Check out the art below:

Despite his appearance, it's important to note that Kang does not actually have blue skin. Unlike Thanos (Josh Brolin), who really is a purple-skinned being, Kang simply wears a mask over his face to achieve the effect. So while this is Kang's most notable look, there's a chance that the MCU could dive deep into Kang's origin story as Nathaniel Richards, which means that his normal human being appearance could also be featured in one of the MCU films. As efficient as Avengers: Infinity War was in laying out the Mad Titan's backstory and motivations, some still think that it would've been for the best if Marvel Studios had devoted a full film to better introducing/establishing the character. Given this, it's possible that the franchise will take a different route with Kang, and take their time in establishing the upcoming bad guy, especially if Kang's going to be an overall villain in the MCU moving forward, like Thanos was.

Interestingly, it seems far too early for Marvel Studios to be casting Kang the Conqueror if he's set to appear in Ant-Man 3. The sequel is technically not part of Marvel's Phase 4 and has not been officially slated yet, so it will take a couple of years before it hits theaters. This could insinuate that the villain might appear in one of the other Marvel Cinematic Universe projects set to hit theaters over the next few years, prior to the release of Ant-Man 3. In any case, viewers will just have to rely on this kind of speculation and fan-created content to keep them going in the meantime, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to delay the official start of Phase 4 of the MCU.
