A new official image shows the titular characters in Ant-Man & the Wasp dressed up in their superhero costumes and ready for action. With all the clamor around Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, it can be easy to forget that this year will also see Marvel Studios release Ant-Man & the Wasp. The film will see Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) finally suit up as the heroic Wasp. Following multiple set photo and videos leaks during the film's production, the Ant-Man and the Wasp San Diego Comic-Con poster provided a proper first look at the movie's superhero duo.

Following the debut of the SDCC poster, the first image of Lilly as The Wasp was released for the Ant-Man sequel Though lacking her helmet, the photo showed Hope wearing the costume that was originally unveiled during the first Ant-Man's mid-credits scene. As a change of pace from the previous Marvel superhero movie team-ups like Thor: RagnarokAnt-Man & the Wasp will be a romantic comedy mixed with a superhero film, giving us a whole new take on a dynamic duo. Now, we have our first look at the partners suited up for this summer's film.

Disney/Marvel released the first image of the title characters from Ant-Man & the Wasp, giving us the best look yet of both hero's outfits in the film. Not only that, but we finally get to see Wasp's helmet in all its glory. Check out the new suits below:

Ant-Man's costume is obviously still more streamlined than what he wore in the first film here, but it's also changed a bit from what he wore in Captain America: Civil War. The Wasp, meanwhile, has had some upgrades to the suit from the mid-credits scene in Ant-Man, which looked like a work in progress. Already, it's clear that Hope will get a more modern suit that's far sleeker than Ant-Man's outfit.

The one thing missing from the image is Wasp's iconic wings, another thing that Ant-Man lacks. Luckily, the SDCC poster revealed that while Scott Lang will get to show off his Giant Man abilities yet again in the sequel, the Wasp will be flying during combat like her mother/predecessor.

With the July release of Ant-Man & the Wasp not too far off at this stage, it's possible the first teaser for the film will arrive with Black Panther next month. When it does, we should finally get to see the Wasp in action, and get a taste of how she compares as a hero compared to Scott. Hope won't be suiting up in Avengers: Infinity War, but Ant-Man & the Wasp looks like it should give her a proper debut on the big screen.
