Legend Quest is a Mexican animated series that began airing in 2017 and has increased in popularity since being dubbed into English and listed on Netflix. The series follows a young boy named Leo who lives in a village in Mexico. When his village is attacked by strange creatures, he enlists his ghostly friends to help him before these creatures complete their plan to wipe humans off the Earth.

This series has a huge focus on mythology and legendary creatures from different cultures. For people that like fantasy and shows that follow a variety of different creatures and mythical animals, this series is definitely one to watch.

The Owl House (2020 - )

The Owl House is an animated series that premiered on the Disney Channel in 2020. The series follows a teen girl named Luz whose life changes dramatically after she accidentally travels through a portal and leaves her own world to go to a strange new realm.

Hilda is an animated series that is based on a graphic novel series by the same name by Luke Pearson. This series began airing on Netflix as an exclusive new series for the streaming service in 2018.

Hilda follows a young girl by the same name who lives in a remote cabin in the woods with her mother. The series follows as she goes on a variety of adventures with her animal sidekicks, supernatural spirits, and other mysterious figures that live in the nearby city and in the woods by Hilda.

The Dragon Prince (2018 - )

The Dragon Prince is a Netflix original animated series that began airing on the streaming service in 2018. Three seasons have been released and a video game based on the series is currently in development which is definitely exciting news for anyone who enjoys this series and also loves playing games.

This fantasy series set in the world of Xadia. In Xadia, magic comes from six source - the sun, the moon, the stars, the sky, the Earth, and the ocean - but everything changes after humans create dark magic and begin killing magical creatures in order to harvest the ingredients they need to perform their dark spells.

This series follows a young princess named Star Butterfly who receives a magic wand for her birthday, but when things go horribly wrong and Star proves she's less than ready for powers, she's sent to Earth to grow up.

While on Earth, Star moves in with the Diaz family and befriends their son, Marco. The two of them get to know each other and Marco begins to aid Star in her battles against the various evil forces that followed Star through the universe to Earth and threaten everything around her.

Twelve Forever is a Netflix original animated series that began airing on the streaming service in 2019. One of the creators of the series is known for their work on The Powerpuff Girls and other popular animated series. Unfortunately, it was announced that this show was on "hiatus" and plans for its future are uncertain, but the 25 episodes that did air are definitely worth checking out.

Kipo And The Age Of Wonderbeasts (2020 - )

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts is an animated series that began airing on Netflix in 2020. The series follows a 13-year-old girl named Kipo who finds herself forced to leave her underground home and search a post-apocalyptic wasteland for her father.

The Hollow is a Netflix original animated series that follows a group of teenagers who wake up in a room with absolutely no memories of who they are, whether or not they know one another, or how they got there. This series premiered in 2018.

After leaving the mysterious bunker that they woke up in, this group of strangers is forced to travel through an unusual landscape, battling monsters and solving strange puzzles, in order to try to find their way back home safely.
