Bandai Shokugan's Animal Crossing: New Horizons Villager Collection Mini-Figure Set features seven adorable mini-figs; the collection, sold by Entertainment Earth, is slated to begin shipping this summer in June. Nintendo released Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Switch last spring to much acclaim. It arguably could not have come at a better time either, since the pandemic and consequential lockdowns were just then beginning to take effect on a global scale.

This particular Animal Crossing release catapulted the Nintendo franchise to the stratosphere. It often felt as if everyone and their mother had something to say about the unsavory practices of one Tom Nook. With 22 million copies of New Horizons sold as of August 2020, it's no wonder buzz about the charming simulation title has yet to die down. Come this summer, the hype will likely reach new heights.

On an unspecified date in June, retailer Entertainment Earth will begin shipping a new mini-figure set for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The set boasts seven villager mini-figs, including Isabelle, Marshal, and Tom Nook. Each one stands about 2 1/5-inches tall and features a "fuzzy texture." Better yet, customers can expect every character to come with their own window box, perfect for display purposes. The full set costs $47.99, with preorders having previously gone live. Unfortunately, Entertainment Earth's stock is already sold out, but those interested in the collection can sign up for email notifications that should appear whenever more stock becomes available.

New collectibles are always exciting, but here's to hoping these Bandai Shokugan dolls don't become as hard to get ahold of as other Animal Crossing merchandise. In early 2020, Amiibo card collections for New Horizons appeared on eBay for upwards of $2,000 per card pack. Such egregious reseller prices, in addition to the folks willing to take said offers, are what keep the reseller market thriving.

Since New Horizon's launch last spring, the developers have continuously added exciting updates to further improve the experience. Of course, fans are used to making their own fun, as well. This past Halloween marked the perfect time for players to showcase their creative prowess in-game and in real life, for example. And with no in-game celebration to flock to a few weeks ago, fans found a way to commemorate Isabelle's birthday all on their own. Beyond the release of new figurines in June, there's no telling what other surprises may come from New Horizons' popularity in 2021.
