A talented Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan has recreated Mabe Village from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. The original 1993 classic was remade for the Nintendo Switch in 2019, reimagining the world with not just HD graphics, but also 3D Zelda characters. Despite the revamp, the release still maintains its top-down view, ensuring it retains the magic of the original game.Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become a firm favorite game for designers and creators thanks to the creative tools it offers. Players are tasked with turning a deserted island into a thriving village, with decorating and designing the space being one of the game's main draws. Thanks to custom designs, terraforming, and the item catalog, fans have been using the Nintendo hit to recreate some of the company's other big games, including Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as hit TV series like Netflix's Stranger Things remade in Animal Crossing.Related: Animal Crossing Player Recreates Every Super Smash Bros. CharacterContent creator ACNH_Barkenos has shared their adorable Link's Awakening build in Animal Crossing, based on Mabe Village. Mabe Village is found on Koholint Island, making it a perfect choice for the island-focused New Horizons. ACNH_Barkenos has modeled the exterior of their AC home to pay homage to the Zelda classic, bringing the build to life with weeds, flowers, Log Stakes, and even a Hylian shield. Unfortunately for those hoping to pay a visit to the recreation in their own game, the creator has explained this is a "one-off build" with no Dream Address available. More from the Animal Crossing creator can be found on Twitch and Instagram.[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/ACNH_Barkenos/status/1447756177740238848[/EMBED_TWITTER]See the post on Twitter here. While players can't visit the build themselves, they can use Animal Crossing to design something similar. The house exterior can be selected at Resident Services, allowing users to pick the one they feel best represents the look they're going for. Weeds or ground custom designs can make up the forest-like look of the grass, with strategically planted flowers for added effect. Log Stakes or similar wooden fencing can create the "garden" area of the build, and bug models obtained from Flick can help add further authenticity. Perhaps the most exciting part of the creator's Mabe Village is the Hylian shield, which can be created with a custom design placed onto an umbrella. Players can find similar shield designs through the in-game design app.Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will soon be able to make their builds even more detailed thanks to an upcoming update. The new content should expand the creative play allowed by the game, increasing the number of bridges of inclines an island can have, adding outdoor storage to make building easier, and allowing for more customization than before thanks to the help of Reese and Cyrus at the Plaza. All the new Animal Crossing content will be available on November 5.Next: Animal Crossing 2.0 Update: Every NPC Coming To Harv's IslandSource: Twitter/ACNH_Barkenos
