One industrious Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has showcased their snow-covered sweet maple sugar themed house. With the holiday season now in full swing, players can really celebrate the season thanks to the recently implemented Animal Crossing's 2.0 update, which added a host of new holiday themed items to Nintendo's social simulator.

New Horizons is a title that takes place in real time, meaning that the in-game date, time, and season is all based off of the Nintendo Switch's system clock. Those who want to accomplish certain goals more quickly can always time travel by changing the console's clock, however this function can negatively impact unwary players and jumping ahead does not necessarily indicate what exactly the game will look like on that specific day, especially when updates are imminent. Anyone in the Animal Crossing community who was looking forward to the holidays a little early could have jumped ahead to at least get a sense of what the game would be like. Now there is no more need for speculation unless players are curious about what is to come in the early new year.

Reddit user IslaBubba shared an image of their seasonally snow-covered shack house with bottles and canisters of maple syrup everywhere. To enhance the overall aesthetics, IslaBubba created a custom ACNH image for the maple syrup logo that appears in various sizes throughout the screenshot. The reddit user appropriately quoted the movie Elf in their post, seeing as their build certainly showcases a lot of the fourth and final main food group.

Some of the items featured in IslaBubba's creation are seasonal, particularly the Bathtub with Yuzu - which drew some attention in the comments. When it is in stock, it can be found using the Nook Shopping app on the NookPhone. For any player wanting one, a commenter on IslaBubba's post who time traveled claimed that it would become available around December 15 along with some other seasonal goodies.

It is still impressive to see the types of creations still coming out of the Animal Crossing community even though New Horizons is entering its second holiday season since launch. There always seems to be new builds or new conversations sparked by Animal Crossing and the ingenuity surrounding the game does not appear to be waning anytime soon. The holiday season is still young and there will likely be many more merry Animal Crossing: New Horizons creations to come forth before it is officially 2022.
