Animal Crossing: New Horizons' island-building component is a significant part, and stunting tree growth can give some unique looks, but only with a bit of know-how. Various aesthetics are aplenty that players can build on their island, from an evergreen forest to a desert oasis. The variety of choosing how players want to develop their island, including stunted trees, is a great feature that brings players back repeatedly.

With players already able to build their islands how they want in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a new feature has appeared with the latest update where players get to construct vacations. Clients will ask players to build a dream vacation home for them, each with different looks. For example, some clients could want a fully decked-out baseball feel, while others could enjoy a runway fit for a model. Some customization is available, and getting those stunted trees might be a Client ask to get the best look for their home.

With the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons DLC, some extra elements have come to the game, such as the Gyroids and even having a job. Since its inception, the Gyroids have been a part of the Animal Crossing franchise, and players have wondered when they would return. In addition, getting a job with the new DLC gives access to Poki, a form of currency players can get for new and unique items only available through getting a job.

Stunting a Tree's Growth In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: How to Stunt Tree Growth

Stunting a tree's growth in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can serve a few different functions. Most of them lean towards the aesthetic side of the ledger. To stunt the development of a tree, players will need two items. The first, which is the most obvious, is a tree, and the second item would be a piece of fruit.

Players want to plant the tree they wish to stunt first, and then each day that passes, the tree goes through its different stages of growth. Wait until the desired day of development, and then plant a fruit directly on a space around the tree. As long as the fruit sapling is in that space next to the tree, the tree will not grow further. If players want to move the tree they've stunted, they can dig it up, put it in their inventory, then move it to the desired location.

One issue is that when the tree gets moved, a new fruit, or existing sapling, must get planted behind the tree again to keep the growth stable. With the holiday season coming up soon, growing a tree farm using stunted trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a look players might want to consider.
