An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has gifted Jolly Redd the perfect boat dock. Jolly Redd is an infamous Animal Crossing character that has appeared in several games in the franchise. He's a sly-looking fox with a sarcastic personality. It's up to players to decide whether or not they want to trust him and the shady art pieces that he sells. Either way, it is certainly an accomplishment when players are able to unlock Redd's boat in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Jolly Redd was only recently added to Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the 1.2 update that was launched less than a year ago. When Animal Crossing players installed the update, they were given the opportunity to make Jolly Redd appear on their island. If players sell enough pieces to islander Blathers' museum, Redd appears. At first, he appears at the secret beach on the northern coast of the deserted island. He arrives with his Treasure Trawler, an old fishing boat that doubles as a black market shop. At the Treasure Trawler, players can purchase works of art and donate them to Blather's museum. Though it should be noted that Jolly Redd does not always sell genuine works of art. Unfortunately, players always have a chance of purchasing fake art in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan that goes by the user name Skillyray on Reddit has posted a video to the Animal Crossing subreddit showing their character walking through the part of their island where Redd docks his boat. Skillyray's video is posted with the following comment: "Update: Redd came to my island finally! This is how he looks in my boat dock area. Also added a few things to the area as well!" This part of Skillyray's snowy island shows several boats docked next to the island and several boardwalk/carnival-themed furniture items scattered about.

Though Jolly Redd's beat-up Treasure Trawler is strikingly different from Skillyray's pristine docked boats, the island is a nice set up for the fox. Redd's boat is docked at the end of an easily accessible paved road, facilitating convenient and simple navigation between the boat and the player's island. This set up also gives the player easy access to purchase Redd's paintings, which discerning players can tell are real or fake.

Jolly Redd remains a polarizing character in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons fandom. Despite trying to sell the player overpriced art that may or may not be counterfeit, the series wouldn't be the same without him. And for each player burned by Redd and his counterfeits, there are fans like Skillyray who are ready and waiting to build creative docs like this to make him feel at home.
