A crafty Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has managed to recreate a homemade mushroom wreath in real life. Since its release in March of 2020, the game's community has developed a reputation for building impressive in-game creations such as an Animal Crossing version of Studio Ghibli scenes.
While it has seemingly become commonplace for the Animal Crossing community to produce impressive in-game works of art on a weekly basis, there are also many who display similar feats beyond the life simulation title. Most of these efforts are accomplished through traditional fan art methods, and that includes recreating certain craftable elements from the game world in real life. Wreaths in Animal Crossing: New Horizons have specifically caught the attention of a few artistic players and many have been remade with an incredible degree of likeness to their video game counterparts.
One of the more recent additions to the real life wreath collection comes from Reddit user Scofffsatgravity, who posted images of an incredibly game-accurate mushroom wreath they created. According to Scofffsatgravity, the mushrooms themselves were made from air dry clay and then painted to resemble how they look in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The clay mushrooms were then secured to the straw leaf using "lots of hot glue" as were the moss and raffia.
Artistic expression both in and out of the game world has arguably become the cornerstone of Animal Crossing: New Horizons thanks to the title having the most customization options of any in the series to date. Sharing fan art has even become a gameplay element thanks to Animal Crossing's bulletin board feature, allowing for a more instantaneous exchange of creative ideas. This promotion of creativity is likely the main reason Animal Crossing: New Horizons has managed to stay so popular well after its launch, even though some parts of the community are disappointed in the recent lack of substantial content updates for the game.
There seems to be no stopping the new creations coming from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community, and it has reached a point where it appears these players will never run out of ideas. Something as simple in theory as a farm becomes totally unique in Animal Crossing when players use beach balls and bamboo shoot lamps to accurately make produce that is not actually available in-game. For the foreseeable future, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community will likely continue to impress with their works of art both in and out of the game.
