Quick Links
October is an exciting time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, bringing new creatures and seasonal items to collect. The revolving appearance of different bugs, fish, and deep sea creatures is one of the best parts of the series. Each month reflects the time in the real world. October is a special time of year, featuring three main events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Since the Happy Home Paradise DLC, the game has not received any more major content updates. However, Nintendo has given fans the tools to design their dream island. New Horizons allows players to terraform and reshape almost every aspect of their village. While constructing a beautiful island is natural, some fans have decided to do the opposite by creating some of the ugliest designs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While there may not be more content updates, players can still enjoy what the game offers. Fans can look forward to new creatures and seasonal items arriving in October, as well as three returning events according to Animal Crossing Wiki.

October Events & Seasonal Items
Halloween is one of the largest and best seasonal events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Like the real-world occasion of the same name, fans can experience all the spooky fun on October 31. Leading up to the date, players will be able to purchase candy from Nook's Cranny. In addition, there will be a series of Halloween-themed DIY recipes, along with season clothing appearing in the Able Sisters' store. Another event players can look forward to experiencing is a Fishing Tournament being held on October 8. During the event period, all fish sold to C.J. will be worth 1.5 times more Bells. Additionally, players can accumulate points from the tournament and exchange them for fish-related prices.
While all fans can enjoy the two events mentioned above, those in the Southern Hemisphere will also experience Cherry Blossoms. Collecting these colorful petals will allow fans to create Cherry Blossom-themed DIY recipes in New Horizons. In addition, hardwood Trees will be turned into Sakura Trees from October 1-10. Between the new wildlife and events, players will have plenty to keep them busy during October 2022 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
