Unlike this Nook Mile tour, which generates a completely random island, the May Day tour brings players to a set island, and players need to use their brains to solve its puzzle. How To Solve The May Day Maze in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
At the start of the day, head to Tom Nook and speak with him. He will mention speaking with Orville at the airport to visit the May Day Maze. Speaking with Orville with remove all of the player's items and throw them on a new island. Here is how to successfully navigate through the maze. Any item the player finds on this island will transfer over to the main island, except for the shrubs. The end of the maze will provide the player with a special item for completing it. Here's a step by step guide on how to do so.
- Step 1: Grab the shovel and pick up the bush on the left. Grab the fruit.
- Step 2: Eat the fruit and scoop up the tree above.
- Step 3: Head up and jump over the hole. Then go right and jump across three holes. There will be three pieces of wood. Pick these up.
- Step 4: Follow the path and jump across the holes. Jump across the third hole and collect the materials.
- Step 5: Go back and jump into the middle hole to find a branch and a worn ax.
- Step 6: Go back and head west until reaching a tree at the top left side.
- Step 7: Use the Worn ax to cut down the tree, the ax will break. Grab the two fruit and branches on the other side and go back to the center.
- Step 8: Jump across the first hole out of the three and head left. Eat one of the fruit to break the rock. Grab the Iron Nugget on the other side.
- Step 9: Go to the crafting bench and create an Axe.
- Step 10: Head back towards the three holes and chop down the tree and grab the fruit on the island.
- Step 11: Head up from the first hole and find a tree that can be count down with an ax and cut it down. This will lead to the final fruit.
- Step 12: Head up towards three trees in a row and chop them down. Crossing this will reach the end of the maze and the player will get there prize.
If at any point the player messes up their progress, they can reset the island by calling Rescue Services. The player will be rewarded with a special briefcase that can only be unlocked by completing the maze. Also, Bell Vouchers can be found if the player goes beyond the perimeter of the maze and finds stones. Three fruit is required to shatter all three rocks protecting 6 Bell Vouchers. The player can also visit the island as long as it's before May 8th. Once the event is over, players will no longer have access to this special island. So make sure to capitalize on this limited-time event.
