Fall is in full swing for fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and November holds an exciting event for crafters looking forward to unique furniture to add to their houses for the chilly season. Much like the Cherry Blossom Petal event in the spring, where players could collect delicate pink petals and make adorable decorations for their homes, November brings a crisp fall alternate in the Maple Leaf event. Collecting the leaves and recipes is done in a short, week-long window, so players will want to mark their calendars so they don't miss out.

The Maple Leaf collection is one of many events happening in Animal Crossing this fall. Players can expect to see Maple Leaves in the air between November 12-26 for the northern hemisphere. During this time players will want to race to collect as many leaves for crafting as possible, while also keeping an eye out for the Maple Leaf related recipes that allow for the crafting of the DIY items. A few of these recipes also require acorns and pine cones, which can also be found on player islands during the fall months by shaking trees.

Collecting the Maple Leaves is as simple as the Cherry Blossom Petals this past spring. Players can equip their net between hunting for mushrooms and diving for Animal Crossing's new November fish and simply catch the leaves as they float towards the ground. Players will need to keep an eye to the skies for the special fall balloons carrying DIY recipe cards and knock them down with the slingshot. If any recipes are missed, players will have to hope a friend has a spare, or wait until next year to have a chance to get the cards again.
