There are 12 new K.K. Slider songs making their way into Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the upcoming 2.0 update on November 5. The additional songs can be collected and played in music player items just like the songs that came before. The update will also add music boxes, giving players a new way to listen to all of K.K. Slider’s songs, new and old.

At launch, New Horizons featured 95 songs by K.K. Slider. These songs can be obtained through Nook Shopping, where one random K.K. Slider song is available to purchase each day. Some special songs can only be obtained from K.K. Slider himself when he visits the player’s island on Saturday, but all 12 of the new songs coming in the New Horizons 2.0 update can be requested when K.K. Slider hosts his Saturday performances.

With the addition of 12 new songs, the total number of obtainable K.K. Slider songs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons will come to 107. There are also three different songs that can play when players make an invalid request to K.K. Slider during his Saturday evening concerts. This would actually bring the total number of K.K. Slider songs up to 110 in ACNH, 16 more than Animal Crossing: New Leaf. New Leaf featured 91 obtainable songs and three “invalid request” songs. All three of these became some of the request-only songs in New Horizons, but it is unlikely any of New Horizons’s “invalid request” songs will become permanently unlockable in the 2.0 update.

The 12 New K.K. Slider Songs In Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0

All 12 of the new K.K. Slider songs coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons have had their covers revealed. 10 of these covers clearly feature the song’s English-language name. Of the final two, one doesn’t list a name at all and one’s title is written in Japanese. The English song titles are:

  • Chillwave
  • K.K. Bashment
  • K.K. Break
  • K.K. Chorinho
  • K.K. Dub
  • K.K. Fuge
  • K.K. Hip Hop
  • K.K. Lovers
  • K.K. Polka
  • K.K. Slack-key

The name of the song with no title on the cover will likely remain unknown until the New Horizons 2.0 update drops on November 5. The K.K. Slider song with the title written in Japanese on its cover is spelled out as “Kekeloid.” “Keke” is how “K.K.” is written in Japanese, making this song likely titled “K.K. Loid.”

In the art, K.K. Slider is dressed up in a style similar to a Vocaloid. This song may be inspired by the music made with famous voice synthesizer characters like Hatsune Miku and Kaito. It will be interesting to hear the style of this song, considering K.K. Slider - and the rest of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters - already speak and sing using a voice synthesizer.
