To make catching the Oarfish easier, players are recommended to use Fish Bait. Players can farm Fish Bait in Animal Crossing: New Horizons by digging up moving sand on the beach to get Manila Clams. Once players have enough Manila Clams, they can craft the bait and use it for catching rare and large fish.
It is worth noting that players should use the Fish Bait only when they spot a large shadow in the sea. It is also important to remember that catching the Oarfish requires a lot of patience, as it can take hours to capture this fish.
Eventually, players will be able to capture the Oarfish and sell it to Nook for 9,000 bells or CJ for 13,500 Bells. If players manage to capture multiple Oarfish, they should donate one to the museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as the large fish looks quite captivating in the tank.
