Players already know about a lot of great things coming to the peaceful little world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons this summer, but according to data miners and eagle-eyed fans, more may be on the way. The game's first free summer content update is coming July 3rd. It will bring returning character Pascal, and offer players the ability to swim. Like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, characters will need a wetsuit to take a dip in the ocean around their island.

It looks like there may be more similarities to Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the way to New Horizons soon. A second free summer update for the game is coming in August. Nintendo has not revealed what the update will contain, but fans noticed fireworks on the graphic announcing the event and have guessed at what is coming next.

According to Twinfinite, every Animal Crossing game has had a fireworks event. The last three games have had events in August. In New Leaf, players could design their own fireworks displays and view their friends' fireworks shows in the game. Isabelle was also a key part of that event, which could give her a purpose beyond sitting behind a desk in New Horizons.

The first fireworks event in Animal Crossing for GameCube happened on July 4th, The United States' Independence Day. The light show was to celebrate the opening of the town's train station. For Animal Crossing: Wild World and City Folk, the fireworks show was moved to every weekend in August. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the fireworks went off every Sunday in August.

There are also rumors of the popular Dream Suite coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. According to AnimalCrossingWorld, data miners have found blocks of code suggesting the Dream Suite building from Animal Crossing: New Leaf could come to the islands of New Horizons. The Dream Suite in New Leaf allowed players to quickly travel to instanced versions of other towns online. The towns could be visited anytime without the owner being online, and no destructive changes would be made to the town. It was an easy way to share an Animal Crossing space with others without having to be online at the same time.

The rumored event and feature could also bring back some fan-favorite characters like Luna and Wendell, who appeared as part of the Dream Suite in New Leaf. The fireworks event would be a great time to introduce old non-villager characters like former mayor Tortimer. No matter what Animal Crossing: New Horizons has in store, it's bound to be extremely cute and exciting for fans of the Animal Crossing series.
