YouTuber Studson Studio created a DIY diorama of the museum in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it's nothing short of a sight to behold. Of course, fan-created Animal Crossing projects aren't the least bit novel. Players have expressed themselves and their love for the series by crafting real-life flower wreaths based on in-game designs, for example. And in-game recreations have made the rounds, too; one player even managed to reconstruct Joey's and Chandler's apartment from Friends.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons hit the Nintendo Switch exclusively nearly one year ago. That it turned into a meteoric success surprised no one; however, few could've guessed the incredible heights the new entry would reach on the market. Soon New Horizons may even dethrone Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the best-selling title on Switch. The last count in February of this year had New Horizons hovering past an astronomical 31 million units sold. Meanwhile, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's sales numbers sit at 34 million. It's clear the popularity of neither title will wane anytime soon.

The love for Animal Crossing's latest entry is notably evident in the most recent project from YouTuber Studson Studio, who crafted a DIY diorama based on the museum in New Horizons. Studson Studio's 17-minute video on the design work breaks down every aspect of the crafting process, from meticulously building the diorama's basic structure to carefully decorating the museum piece with accessories like shrubs and miniature dinosaurs.

The above video provides plenty of details and tips for those who may want to design an Animal Crossing miniature of their own. However, fans who prefer to purchase merchandise from the professionals will be in luck sometime in the near future, since Build-A-Bear recently revealed that an Animal Crossing: New Horizons Build-A-Bear collection is "coming soon."

With New Horizons' one-year anniversary fast-approaching, players are hoping Nintendo has at least a few surprises up its sleeve for celebratory purposes. If so, the company should start rolling out the details fairly soon, given that the one-year anniversary of the title's release will fall next week on March 20. Plus, Update 1.9 is slated to go live a couple of days before then on March 18, bringing with it Sanrio-themed items and more.
