The players in Animal Crossing: New Horizons just keep finding new ways to impress us with their creativity. Nintendo recently introduced warp pipes to Animal Crossing from the Mario franchise into the life simulation game, and fans have put them to great use so far. One player revealed this week that they incorporated the pipes in their afterlife-themed island by using them as gateways to Heaven and Hell. Enter one of the mysterious pipes at your own risk and see where fate takes you.

The famous green Mario warp pipes came to Animal Crossing as part of a massive Mario-themed item collection. Nintendo has been celebrating the 35th anniversary of Super Mario since September, which has made for plenty of crossovers with other games and brands. With Mario Day in March, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for Animal Crossing's March update to include a Mario crossover. There are plenty of Mario items to choose from in Nook Shopping this month, including full outfits for Luigi, Mario, Princess Peach, and Wario. Plus, players can nab the franchise's most iconic items, like Super Stars, mushrooms, blocks, and of course, warp pipes.

Animal Crossing players immediately got to work using all of the new items, but the warp pipes, in particular, have been a fan-favorite. Like in Mario games, the pipes take users from one location to another in seconds. When you place two pipes down, you will automatically be sent to the island's other pipe. However, if you place more than two on your island, you will randomly pop out of one of the other pipes each time. Many Animal Crossing players have found the items useful in getting from one side of their islands to another. Or, in Reddit user 7-swans' case, getting to Heaven or Hell.

The player shared a video of their afterlife-themed island, which features a single pipe hidden behind two trees. Signposts on either side of the pipe depicted a halo and devil's horns, indicating Heaven and Hell. When 7-swans first entered the pipe, they landed in a room filled with clouds and white furniture and an organ piano, representing Heaven. However, the second time, the pipe took them to a room decorated with lava and dark furniture -- Hell. 7-swans left their Dream Address in the comments of the Reddit post for anyone wanting to test their own fate.

This is just one example of the seriously awesome things that Animal Crossing players have done with warp pipes. As it turns out, they aren't just useful for transportation. Someone else this week revealed that they used the pipes to avoid getting stung by the Animal Crossing waspsAnimal Crossing: New Horizons have been letting their creativity shine ever since the game's release nearly one year ago. The ideas just get better and better with each of Nintendo's newest in-game collections.
