When it comes to designing and decorating islands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, many players often use pop culture as inspiration. One of the most popular forms of pop culture players can use is movies. With the wide variety of items available to players, along with building techniques, players can recreate many movies. However, some movies are easier than others for players to build on their islands.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons gives players a lot of creative freedom when it comes to decorating an island, their home, and villager homes. Over the last two years, players have made some amazingly creative islands that may be considered works of art. Among these gorgeous islands and creative players, using movies and other media as inspiration is common.

There are some amazing Animal Crossing designs and builds from movies that players can use for inspiration. But some players may not be sure what movie to use or worry building an island based on a movie will be challenging. The good news for those players is there are easy movies to use for inspiration. Other than being simple, these movies are also very popular so many have probably seen them.

The Lord Of The Rings Can Inspire Animal Crossing Island Designs

Building the White Tree of Gondor's courtyard from The Lord of the Rings is simple in Animal Crossing.

An easy movie to use as inspiration for island design in Animal Crossing is The Lord of the Rings. There are many scenes and locations in the three movies that players can use, but the easiest scene to replicate is from the third. In the Return of the King, viewers are brought to the city Minas Tirith and see the White Tree of Gondor. Players can place Animal Crossing: New Horizons' white decayed tree in a courtyard, possibly surrounded by four plate armor. Grey castle walls placed beyond the courtyard can help add to the scene. Placing this on the highest point of an island would be ideal.

Another Lord of the Rings reference that can be added to a player’s island is the ominous Mt. Doom located in Mordor. Players have a couple of options with this. The first is to place the dormant volcano item on a high part of the island. The gray-rock color can be a good option, but the fall-peak color scheme is reminiscent of lava. Whichever color players choose is up to them, but they can add to the Mordor feel by recreating the Black Gate with the black castle walls. Beyond these walls, the player can set it up so that the deadliest Animal Crossing villagers live there.

The second option with the recreation of Mt. Doom is to set it up within the player’s house. Using the lava flooring and magma-cavern wall recreates the scene within the volcano. Or even the scene at the end of the third movie when the volcano is erupting. Adding rocks and making the lights within the house red will help set the scene, while the three bird mobiles on the ceiling can be used to represent the eagles.

The Shire From The Hobbit Is Easy To Build In Animal Crossing

It can be easy to make an Animal Crossing home into a Hobbit hole.

Another movie Animal Crossing players can use for their island is The Hobbit. Out of the three movies, there are many scenes players can take inspiration from. The easiest build, however, would be to recreate the Shire. For example, players can turn their home into a hobbit hole. In the movies, viewers see how cozy and food-filled hobbit homes are, so players in Animal Crossing should get more DIY cooking recipes.

Using wood wallpaper and flooring in the homes would be ideal, along with wooden furniture. Decorate the homes with the cutest and most flowery items possible; Animal Crossing is full of them. But the most important item players need in the house is food. Hobbits love food, so for any Animal Crossing player wanting to recreate a hobbit hole, food must be everywhere. Players may also want to look like a hobbit, which means having the player character barefoot.

Combine Animal Crossing Holidays For The Nightmare Before Christmas

Holiday decorations can be combined to make a The Nightmare Before Christmas scene in Animal Crossing.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a famous movie loved by many people, and it can be a very easy design idea for players to implement on their islands. There are many Animal Crossing Halloween designs and Toy Day decorations available. Additionally, players who have played since Animal Crossing’s release two years ago probably already have a large collection of holiday décor.

While no items from the movie are in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players can mesh Halloween and Christmas décor together. For example, players can create a graveyard using the Spooky Fence and the customizable Western-style stone. And throughout that graveyard, players can fill it with Toy Day decorations and Festive Trees.

In Nightmare Before Christmas, there is the iconic scene where the scary presents are placed beneath trees, and players can recreate that in their homes. A good example would be to use dark wallpaper and flooring with a Big Festive Tree in the center. And beneath that tree, place the creepiest Animal Crossing Christmas toy furniture items. There is the Doll House item, which can be customized to a dark color, a Dolly, and Stuffed Toys. To ramp up the unsettling factor, place a Creepy Skeleton beneath the tree.

Recreating The Boat Scene From Jaws In Animal Crossing

Jaws' famous boat scene can be replicated inside an Animal Crossing home.

A build based on the iconic shark movie Jaws will go best in the player's or villagers' house. Picking the ocean-horizon wallpaper and water flooring help set the scene; however, the choice is up to the player. In addition to the flooring and wallpaper, players can add the Yacht item to the room. This yacht will represent The Orca from the movie Jaws. Now, players in Animal Crossing cannot depict the yacht being destroyed by a shark, but they can do a slight recreation. Beside the yacht in the room, they can place a Great White Shark on the floor or the model of a great white shark. And since it is currently summer (at the time of writing), catching a great white shark in Animal Crossing will be simple. Now, since the movie Jaws does depict a shark consuming people, players in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can decide how dark to make the room. Use custom designs to place the blood on the floor or keep it G-rated.
