A fan of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has taken inspiration from the Nintendo hit and created one of the game's furniture items in real life: the Ironwood Dresser. Animal Crossing allows for creative play with crafting, decorating, and placing items to create the perfect island, and many players have taken Animal Crossing ideas and brought them to life in the real world.

One of the many features of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is crafting. Players can acquire DIY Recipes that allow them to make different items using various materials found in the game, which can then be used to decorate their island. One of the most highly prized item sets made through DIY Recipes is the Ironwood furniture collection, which uses iron nuggets and wood to make chic, realistic items including a bed, kitchenette, and DIY workbench. The simplicity of the designs and their varied customization options make them some of the most popular furniture items in Animal Crossing, as they fit in well with almost any island aesthetic.

Talented Redditor and Animal Crossing fan LehighValleyWorkshop has impressed the AC subreddit with a video showing how they made the Ironwood Dresser in real life. The skilled carpenter begins the video as if they were an Animal Crossing character themselves, asking in an Animal Crossing speech bubble: "Should I craft something?" The creator goes on to make a perfect replica of the in-game furniture item, which they said took around 20-25 hours to complete mostly due to the welding process.

LehighValleyWorkshop's completed Animal Crossing DIY has received over 13,000 upvotes on Reddit, with many fans asking the creator to work on recreating the entire Ironwood furniture set. The in-game set is comprised of 10 items in total, with the dresser being one of the smaller items in the range. Animal Crossing's Ironwood collection includes several large pieces, including a bed and big cupboard, and bringing the game furniture to life would be no easy task. The creator hasn't confirmed if they're planning on taking up the challenge, but they did reveal that the Ironwood Dresser has been made for themselves and won't be sold on for any Bells.

Players of Animal Crossing who've completed their item catalogs are hoping more furniture and items will be added to the game in the future. A recent Animal Crossing update introduced new food and drink items, including boba tea for players and their villagers, but it's hoped a more substantial content drop will be happening soon. Nintendo has revealed an Animal Crossing update is coming later this year, but it's not yet known what will be added to the game.
