A player of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has made lo-fi beats to chill or study to in-game, with the help of the new Gyroids. Gyroids were recently introduced in the Animal Crossing 2.0 November update, which welcomed the series-staple musical decorations to New Horizons for the very first time.

Animal Crossing's latest big game update didn't just add Gyroids, but also a plethora of new features, content, and gameplay. As well as enjoying the game's new cooking and farming abilities, players have been discovering many Animal Crossing series features previously unseen in New Horizons. These include the coffee-loving NPC Brewster and his Roost cafe, the singing Kapp'n who takes players on mystery boat tours, and even characters like old Tortimer, who served as mayor in previous AC games. The return of fan-favorite Animal Crossing NPCs has been a big hit with players, especially those who've been enjoying the games for a long time, but it's arguably Gyroids that are stealing the show as one of the update's most popular new additions.

Redditor YagsBarro has impressed the Animal Crossing subreddit with their lo-fi AC beats, created using a record player and a collection of Gyroids. Singing along to K. K. Slider's "Chillwave," the room of Gyroids comes alive with the relaxing track, which is made even more magical with a simple yet inspirational room design and slow camera pan. The chill-groove music is reminiscent of the popular trend of catchy lo-fi music used to help with studying and relaxing, evidenced by the creator's post title, which emulates YouTube video titles seen across the same genre.

The recent addition of Gyroids to ACNH means players can now create their own in-game Gyroid bands and performers, with Gyroids able to sing along to nearby music. To make their own band, players need to plant and water Gyroid fragments, or search underground after rainfall, to uncover one of many different Gyroid types. These can then be placed next to a source of music for them to match the beat. While previous AC games limited how many Gyroids will sing together, it seems ACNH has no such barrier, giving players near-endless creative opportunities when it comes to in-game music-making.

Nintendo games have become a popular inspiration for lo-fi beat tracks, with countless YouTube videos dedicated to making chill mixes based on the likes of Animal CrossingThe Legend of ZeldaSuper Mario, and more. Thanks to Animal Crossing's new Gyroids and its vast collection of K. K. Slider songs, players can now make their own Gyroid music, as well as Gyroid displays, rooms, and even ACNH Gyroid memes.
