The 1st year anniversary of Animal Crossing is coming soon. This guide will show players how they can get the 1st year anniversary cake within the game. It almost doesn't feel real that Animal Crossing: New Horizons released almost a year ago. The world has been pretty insane over the last year and Animal Crossing has acted as a security blanket for millions of players around the world. As the world was rebuilding itself, Animal Crossing players were enjoying their time building their own islands, playing online with friends, and sharing items and fruit with the locals. Here is how players can celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Animal Crossing with a special cake.

The month of March is a big one for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Outside of the game's anniversary, it was also hosting two major crossover events with other popular properties. The first was with Super Mario as players were able to unlock items from the series and place them around their island. They could even unlock a Warp Pipe that allowed them to teleport around the island wherever they placed it. The second is the Hello Kitty crossover, where players can purchase amiibo cards to unlock new villagers for the first time ever. Now with the game's anniversary fast approaching, here is how players can get their hands on this celebratory cake.

How To Get The Animal Crossing 1-Year Anniversary Cake

Starting on March 18th, players will be able to collect the 1-year anniversary cake. All the player has to do is update the game to get the free update. Once the player boots it up, they can head over to their mailbox and get a letter from Nook Inc. Inside the letter will have the anniversary cake attached. Players can place this item anywhere they want on their island. It is a large green and brown cake with a number 1 red candle on the top of it. Maybe place it outside to have a picnic to share with your villagers. Ultimately, it comes down to what the player wants to do with it.

As with most of the new content that comes to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, make sure to collect it before it is made unavailable again. It hasn't been said if the cake will go away on a specific date but it is always better to be safe than sorry. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been one of the biggest games to release in the last year.
