New events are just around the corner for Animal Crossing: New Horizons players. An update will be released on January 28th, adding content for events that players will get to participate in during February. This includes Festivale, the colorful event based on Mardi Gras, lead by the NPC Pavé the peacock. Pavé will have players collecting feathers with their net as they run around their island, which can be traded in for a flashy dance by the peakcock himself.

Players will be able to access seasonal events for Valentine's Day through Animal Crossing's Nook Stop and Nook Shopping App. These seasonal items will include Chocolate Hearts and Heart-Shaped Bouquets, allowing players to purchase and give them to friends for Valentine's Day. Animal Crossing fans will be able to access these items from February 1st to the 14th, so they'll want to make sure they pick up things up before they are gone for another year.

New seasonal clothing will be available for Animal Crossing players to purchase at Able Sisters starting February 1st. The clothing options will follow the theme for Festivale, with exciting and colorful options to help get in style for the event. From what players can see in the Animal Crossing update trailer released by Nintendo on YouTube, players will have options like a sequined, green to yellow outfit, as well as a feathered headpiece that is being worn by the player and villagers in town. There is also the possibility that there may be more outfits players can craft with seasonal DIY recipes, though there isn't a confirmation about what event items might be craftable currently.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons Players Get Ready For Festivale

According to information from the Animal Crossing webpage about the event, players will be able to use Bells to purchase a new reaction set from Nook's Cranny. The reaction set will be called "Viva Festival" and will include "Feelin' It", "Let's Go", "Viva" and "Confetti". The "Confetti" reaction can be seen on display in the update trailer, as villagers throw confetti when the player passes by them. Animal Crossing fans will want to grab the set before the event is over, as it will only be available for a short time. This set of reactions will bring the total number available in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to 59, giving players a wide range of expressions to communicate with friends and villagers.

According to the information given at the end of the trailer, Animal Crossing fans will be getting another game update in March, which acts as a confirmation for a Super Mario and Animal Crossing crossover that had been hinted at previously as an upcoming event for the 2021 year. With these free updates, Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will have plenty to do as they get ready for the warmer weather, and give fans even more reason to break out their most colorful and exciting decorations as they get ready to dance with Pavé in the plaza.
