An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player and their friends have fully prepared for the upcoming Stranger Things season four with an in-game build paying homage to the hit Netflix show. Animal Crossing players have been recreating famous moments from TV shows, movies, and other games since the title released in 2020, but this Stranger Things game crossover could be one of the most impressive yet.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a popular game for artists and creators who've been using its available design tools to bring even their wildest build ideas to life, creating unique and inspirational island paradises to share with the game's community. As well as including in-game decorative items, Animal Crossing has a host of custom tools that can be used to turn players' pixel designs into pathways, clothing, and more. Thanks to the various different creative options on offer, fans of the Nintendo classic have been reimagining and building everything from The Legend of Zelda game maps to Studio Ghibli movie moments in Animal Crossing.
Redditor and Animal Crossing fan Sylver_Acnh has shared their perfect Stranger Things build ahead of the release of the series' fourth season. The user has recreated one of the most famous Stranger Things scenes in which four of the young protagonists stare off into the open road from atop their bikes. The road, distant trees, and even the barbed-wire fence have all been accurately captured in the ACNH design, which is topped off with Sylver_Acnh and their friends - dressed as Lucas, Dustin, Mike, and Will - posing in front of their own bicycles. The build is made even better with a little editing magic that adds the foreboding sky and imminent peril ahead of the heroes.

With the release date of Stranger Things season four still to be announced, there's plenty of time for fans of the Animal Crossing Netflix design to make a similar version on their own island. Players will need to have the Barbed-Wire Fence, a flattened area in which to build, and a range of trees planted in the distance. Custom pathways can be used to mimic the road design, and can be searched through the Design App. Players will also need to invite some friends and kit them out in some 1980's-inspired outfits, adding Dustin's hat and four bicycles. Weeds and a Utility Pole complete the finished Hawkins look.
This isn't the first time that a Netflix series has been reimagined in Animal Crossing. September 2021's streaming sensation Squid Game has been one of the most popular new releases to be remade in the Nintendo title, with fans already creating their own in-game costumes modelled after the game's characters. As well as fan builds and designs, players have also taken to recreating classic moments from the show, with one streamer recently remaking the first episode of Squid Game to Animal Crossing.
