One Animal Crossing: New Horizons player discovered that Celeste has a rather interesting reaction when she is placed in front of a cauldron. Even though Animal Crossing has been available for almost two years, interactions like this are constantly being discovered by players. For this interaction to be discovered, though, players had to wait to find one of their island's infrequent visitors.
Celeste is one of Animal Crossing's many visitors, who will grace a player's island every so often. When Celeste arrives, she'll give the player several unique DIY recipes, which are almost always lunar-related. Celeste is also important to a player's progression in Animal Crossing as she can tell players how to wish on shooting stars and gives them the recipe to craft a Star Wand out of the Star Fragments that result when a player successfully wishes on a star. Celeste's visits will also coincide with a meteor shower, so players are quick to take advantage when she comes. But, as one Animal Crossing player discovered, her visits also provide an opportunity to observe a very unique interaction.
Shared on Reddit by user Musicfanatic75, when Celeste is placed in front of a cauldron, which appears to have been done thanks to Animal Crossing's photo mode, she exhibits some odd behavior. Celeste's eyes go wide and she begins shaking uncontrollably as if she is being possessed. Musicfanatic75 simply stares in bewilderment as Celeste goes through this episode. Ironically, the video features Celeste and the player character in what appears to be a witch or wizard's dungeon. With runes on the floor, alchemy ingredients hanging on the wall, and jars of green potions against the wall, it would appear to many that a spell had been cast on Celeste.
Musicfanatic75 might not have known about this interaction when setting the scene for this photo, but it certainly adds to the ambiance behind the clip. It's also quite interesting that Celeste, who is one of the visitors that are more associated with the mystical aspects of Animal Crossing, is the one who is featured in this clip having this interaction.
Even though no further updates are planned for Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the future, moments like this prove how much content still exists for players to discover and enjoy. Although this interaction has no impact on how players enjoy the game, it is still an interesting and fun nugget of information that other players clearly found interesting.
