Build-A-Bear Workshop is introducing brand-new outfits for its stuffed animals inspired by Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The latest installment in Nintendo's town simulation series launched back in March 2020, but frequent updates and in-game events has helped the game maintain a large and loyal player base. The game allows players to build and decorate their own community on a deserted island.

Build-A-Bear Workshop's Animal Crossing collection launched back in April 6, allowing fans the ability to take home a stuffed version of the game's memorable characters Isabelle and Tom Nook. Unfortunately, the collection was sold out almost instantly after release, leaving many fans disappointed at the unavailability. The high-demand stuffed animals were restocked on April 27, with fans encouraged to enter a digital pre-waiting room in order to secure their furry friend, but once again the entire collection sold out quickly. The waiting room for the Animal Crossing cross-over teddies was then opened once again on May 3, giving fans yet another opportunity to get their hands on these video game souvenirs.

An e-mail announcement from Build-A-Bear Workshop has revealed that the Animal Crossing stuffed animals will be restocked on May 11, and the restock will include new outfits for Tom Nook and Isabelle. While the first releases of these characters had them dressed in summer attire, new versions of both characters in their warm winter clothes will also be available. Tom Nook comes complete with a sweater and coat, while Isabelle trades in her skirt for pants and a jacket. Both the Summer and Winter variants of Isabelle and Tom Nook will be available online on May 11.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows its fans to be creative, both while crafting a Build-A-Bear and while playing the game itself. This leads to many tributes created from within the game itself. One clever player recently recreated a scene from Disney and Pixar's Finding Nemo within Nintendo's town simulation title. The player used three fish models to recreate the iconic scene where protagonists Marlin and Dory encounter the supposedly vegan shark Bruce. Another Animal Crossing player chose to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by recreating a scene from the 2018 romantic comedy film Crazy Rich Asians. The imaginative player recreated a wedding scene from the film using a wedding venue featured in the game.

Many Animal Crossing fans have been desperate to get their hands on the game's Build-A-Bear Workshop characters. The upcoming restock is great news for fans who want to bring home a piece of stuffed Animal Crossing goodness, and the announcement of the characters' winter attire adds even more to anticipate. Fans who want to purchase Isabelle or Tom Nook are encouraged to act quickly before the stuffed animals are sold out once again.
