For years, 90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem’s problematic behavior has been called out on and off the show, and it seems like nothing she does is enough to get her fired from TLC. It’s no wonder that Angela became a franchise mainstay. In her early seasons on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, viewers found Angela’s brash attitude and wild antics thoroughly entertaining. However, over time, Angela’s behavior towards her now-ex Michael Ilesanmi seemed abusive. It was easy to get tired of the woman’s increasingly boisterous persona.

On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 7, Angela was worse than ever, and her explosive temper was disturbing. After watching her rip apart her husband’s car in a jealous rage, it was hard to believe that TLC would condone that type of conduct. Angela’s abusive behavior seems to be escalating, and by keeping her on the show, TLC is enabling that abuse. The show's seventh installment was really the breaking point, and it's hard to say if the network will finally take action, by banning Angela from any future franchise content.

Geoffrey Paschel from 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days close up

TLC has fired cast members before, so kicking Angela out of the franchise wouldn’t be unprecedented. Geoffrey Paschel, Alina Kozhevnikova, and Lisa Hamme are among the 90 Day Fiancé stars who were fired from the franchise. Some of them even had their segments cut from the show, or were banned from the Tell All. However, many of the fired cast members were let go by TLC for their off-screen behavior and controversies. For Geoffrey it was his felony abuse charges and subsequent incarceration. For Alina and Lisa, it was racist comments and social media posts. It could be argued that Angela’s offenses were just as bad as some of the franchise’s fired cast members, but 90DF producers insist on hiring her for new content.

What Will It Take To Get Angela Deem Fired

Though Angela’s 2022 blowup with Michael was explosive, TLC made the decision to air the footage, so the network clearly doesn’t take issue with it. Of course, the reality star still entertains some people, and TLC is playing to that audience, regardless of the fact that there may be a sinister side to Angela’s personality. There’s been a significant outcry from those who want Angela off the show, but no progress has been made. It seems like the 90 Day Fiancé star would need to continue stepping up her abusive behavior, in order to reach the point where even TLC would agree that she went too far. A significant off-screen controversy could also cause the network to take action, but it would probably have to be pretty big for TLC to cut ties with its golden goose.

By repeatedly casting Angela on multiple 90 Day Fiancé franchise shows, TLC has proved that they’re milking her for all the content they can get. The network clearly sees Angela as one of the franchise’s biggest and most lucrative stars, so it would have to take something huge to get her kicked off the show. For now, it seems like the abusive behavior Angela exhibits on the show is condoned by TLC, and she won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

Angela is always causing a ruckus, which fuels her reality fame. Now that her relationship with Michael is over, and Angela allegedly torturing tourists is getting backlash, (not to mention that cryptic messages she posts online these days), there's no telling what the future holds. The famous Meemaw is a no-holds-barred personality, who may or may not thrive as a single woman. Her antics make her an extremely polarizing personality, and if she does appear in future franchise content, she may not get the warmest reception. Referring to herself as royalty on Instagram probably won't help to make the fiery Georgia peach Angela more relatable, but the 90 Day Fiance star did just that on January 21, 2023. TLC may never end this reality queen's reign.
