Here's where to spot John Wayne's grandson Brendan Wayne in the Angel And The Badman remake from Hallmark. John Wayne was one of the biggest movie stars in the world and is best remembered for movies like Rio Bravo, The Searchers and Stagecoach. While he stepped outside the genre for movies like The Quiet Man or cop thriller McQ, Wayne was somewhat typecast as a Western star.

The Angel And The Badman movie cast John Wayne as Quirt Evans, the titular badman who is nursed back to health by a Quaker family when he shows up wounded at their doorstep. He falls for Gail Russell's Penelope and slowly turns away from his violent ways - though a figure from his past threatens to ruin that. While Angel And The Badman isn't one of the best John Wayne movies, it's a surprisingly low-key drama that is notable for Wayne never actually firing a gun, despite Quirt Evans' reputation.

There haven't been many attempts to remake John Wayne movies outside of rare examples like True Grit, which featured Jeff Bridges taking over the lead role. Hallmark's Angel And The Badman cast Lou Diamond Philips in the Quirt Evans role, with Deborah Kara Unger as love interest Temperance and Luke Perry as villain Laredo. This 2009 version is relatively faithful to the story beats of the original 1947 Western and it also cast Brendan Wayne - John Wayne's grandson - in a supporting role.

Hallmark's Angel And The Badman cast Brendan Wayne as Randy, the former sidekick of Quirt Evans. The character appears about an hour into the story as Evans is tempted away from a more peaceful life. He and Randy soon head for a drink, where they get into a drunken brawl before Evans is also tempted to get back with ex Margaret, with Jennifer Copping taking over the role played by Joan Barton in the original film. Lou Diamond Phillips previously appeared alongside John Wayne's son Patrick in 1988's Young Guns, where the latter cameoed as Pat Garrett.

In all, Brendan Wayne only has around ten minutes of screentime in Angel And The Badman, and while he's clearly having a good time playing cowboy and getting into fake brawls, he isn't given that much to do. The actor has been busy in recent years though, playing Jiaying's Assistant on several episodes of Agents Of SHIELD and he also playss the body double of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) on The Mandalorian.
