Andy Dick has been fired from the movie Raising Buchanan after allegations of sexual assault. There was a period of time when it seemed like the comedian and actor was in everything funny. After appearing on the sketch comedy program The Ben Stiller Show, Dick starred in three movies in 1994. Including voiceover work, he repeatedly had years with three movies to his name, including 1997, 2000, and 2006, and topped that in 2007 with four. All the while working frequently on television, including as a regular on the sitcom NewsRadio. In recent years he has participated in celebrity roasts, had a cameo in Zoolander 2, and currently plays himself on the Netflix series Love.
Yet, in spite of his success, Dick has constantly found himself in trouble. Numerous scandals have plagued the actor, most of which seem to center around his alcohol and drug addictions. He has been arrested numerous times, and accused of many crimes - including several complaints of sexual misconduct.

And now it has happened again. According to THR, Dick has been fired from the movie Raising Buchanan due to claims of sexual harassment and assault on set. Dick has been accused of groping, unwanted kissing/licking, and propositioning four different people on the set - all behaviors he has been called out for and even gotten in trouble for in the past.
Dick's history has been partially chronicled by Vox. It includes the actor being physically removed from the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live! - by Kimmel himself no less - for repeatedly touching Ivanka Trump in 2007, an arrest one year later for fondling and exposing the breasts of a 17-year-old girl, charges that he groped two people in West Virgina in 2010 and accusations of sexual assault in a Texas Nightclub the following year. These are coupled with numerous accounts of Dick exposing himself in public, an ongoing feud with actor John Lovitz which has turned violent at times, and public racist and antisemitic remarks.
Dick attempted to defend his actions on the set of Raising Buchanan by denying groping anyone and claiming that he didn't sexually proposition anyone either - only asked people out on dates and walked away when they said no. As for the unwanted kissing and licking, he admits to that but talks like it was just a casual mistake, since it is a behavior he is well known for. Dick claims to be a lonely man in his 50s who simply does not understand the rules of dating anymore.
Dick has managed to keep his career going over the years in spite of all the scandals, arrests, and trips to rehab. Still, this latest accusation comes on the heels of numerous Hollywood bigshots being accused of sexual harassment and assault. In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal - which continues to grow - others have been publicly named and lost both work and credibility in Hollywood. Just some of those names include producer Bob Weinstein, talent agent Tyler Grasham, writer/director James Toback, and actor Kevin Spacey. Considering how both the public and the movie business are currently responding to these kinds of accusations, Dick will probably not be able to weather this storm as easily as he has in the past. He's already lost his job on Raising Buchanan after all.
