Andy Cohen revealed whether or not Lindsay Lohan appears on The Real Housewives of Dubai since fan speculation began after he announced the show Monday morning. Andy started the real housewives franchises back in 2006 with the creation of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The show that started it all is currently filming its 16th season and shows no signs of stopping. Its success spawned an entire franchise, with Dubai becoming Bravo's 11th city in which the show is filmed. After Orange County came New York City, followed by Atlanta, New Jersey, D.C., Beverly Hills, and the list goes on. While some cities, like D.C. and Miami weren't successful, the rest in the franchise continue to bring in high ratings and captivate audiences.

During an appearance on The Today Show on Monday morning, Andy announced Dubai as the newest city to join the housewives franchise. Andy claimed he is excited to start filming in Dubai, a city he says he's been fascinated with for years. During his announcement, Andy described Dubai as a playground for the rich and famous which makes it a great city for the show. There was some backlash after the show was announced, with viewers calling the network out for ignoring the countries human rights violations against women and the LGBTQ+ community. They are calling the decision "socially tone-deaf" claiming their treatment of women and members of the LGBTQ+ community go against the network's recent statements they are trying to be more culturally sensitive.

Andy is now addressing whether or not Lindsay Lohan will appear as a housewife on the new show. As reported by Page Six, Andy Cohen confirmed during an interview with The Talk that Lindsay is not planning on joining the franchise, for this season at least. Andy started the interview by admitting it would have been a good idea for the network to cast her, but that she is currently not on the cast. Andy promises he found a group of women who work great together and will bring audiences an explosive first season. For its first season, Bravo cast a group of six friends as to lead the show, bringing back Ladies of London fan favorite Caroline Stanbury. She is joined by friends Sara Al Madani, Caroline Brooks, Lesa Milan Hall, Chanel Ayan, and Nina Ali who all live lavish and luxurious lifestyles.

Lindsay has lived in Dubai for almost seven years having fallen in love with the city after her first visit in 2008. One of the main reasons Lindsay chose Dubai is her ability to live anonymously. Lindsay claimed it was a fresh start for her, away from the gossip surrounding her in Hollywood. She said she is happy not be seen and written about every time she leaves her house. There is no paparazzi in Dubai which leads to a more laid back life for her which is something she claims to really enjoy about living there. Without the constant scrutiny she experienced in Hollywood, she is better able to focus and get more done.

It's clear Andy thinks it would have been a good idea to cast Lindsay, but would she really have made the best housewife? The Real Housewives of Dubai would not have been Lindsay's first try at a reality show, with her first show getting cancelled after one season. Her MTV show Beach Club was cancelled because Lindsay didn't bring enough drama in front of the cameras. With this in mind, it's a fair question to ask whether or not she would've made a good housewife. It will be interesting to see her in that format though.
