After including a few familiar characters in the first season, here is how every other Rogue One: A Star Wars Story character can return in Andor season 2. The Disney+ Star Wars series focuses on Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) during the five years before he died stealing the Death Star plans as a member of the Rebellion. While the first season introduced audiences to several great new characters, viewers were also treated to the returns of Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) and Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker). The two characters previously interacted with Cassian in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

There is now a path for Andor season 2 to include more Rogue One characters. Tony Gilroy's series has not been built on crossovers with the larger franchise, but it is expected that more connections will be made in the second season. Andor season 2 is confirmed to lead Cassian's story right up to the beginning of Rogue One, so it would be quite strange if no one else from the movie is involved with the next chapters of this story. Some are more likely to return than others, but most of the characters could realistically be featured in some capacity. Here is how Andor season 2 can include more Rogue One characters.

How Jyn Erso Can Return In Andor Season 2

Jyn_Erso_on_an_Imperial_base_in_Rogue_One

Jyn Erso's Andor season 2 return is arguably the most difficult for the show to accomplish. Felicity Jones' character is not associated with the Rebel Alliance before Rogue One and is a prisoner of the Empire. However, the Rebel Alliance has been searching for Jyn for an undisclosed amount of time when Rogue One begins, leading to Melshi and K-2SO going to break her out. This creates a small opportunity for a Jyn Erso cameo in Andor season 2 as the Rebels search for her and devise a plan to rescue Galen's daughter. Cassian was even involved with this plan it appears, which could help make sense of her return.

How K-2SO Can Return In Andor Season 2

K-2SO In Rogue One A Star Wars Story

Of all the Rogue One characters who can appear in Andor season 2, the return of K-2SO is the most likely. Alan Tudyk's droid was originally announced to be in the first season but the plan changed. K-2SO's Andor season 2 return would make sense based on the Star Wars timeline. The second season will cover 4 BBY to 0 BBY, which is when Cassian Andor first meets K-2SO. Andor season 2 could retell this story in live-action. Even if that does not happen, K-2SO should be featured in the next season and appear alongside Cassian as the Rebel Alliance grows.

How Chirrut Îmwe & Baze Malbus Can Return In Andor Season 2

Star Wars Rogue One's Baze and Chirrut during the Battle of Scarif

There is room for Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus to appear in Andor season 2 and set up their roles in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The Guardians of the Whills have connections to Saw Gerrera's partisans, as they were recruited to work in alliance with Saw's group to protect Jedha. Andor season 2 will have to show Saw move the partisans to Jedha at some point, so a focus on him understanding the political state of the planet could come. If he and Luthen have any other encounters, then Andor season 2's Rogue One character appearances can increase with Chirrut and Baze being involved.

How Orson Krennic Can Return In Andor Season 2

Rogue One - Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic

Orson Krennic should be another Rogue One character to return in Andor season 2, and it is already set up. The Andor season 1 finale post-credits scene showed the Death Star under construction with the mysterious devices the prisoners built on Narkina 5. The scene foreshadows the big threat that the Empire will continue to pose to the Rebels and that the superweapon could factor into that side of Andor season 2's story. Since Orson Krennic oversees building the Death Star at the beginning of Rogue One, the potentially important role that it will play in the second season means that he must be involved.

How Bodhi Rook Can Return In Andor Season 2

The Empire's side of the story in Andor season 2 can also pave the way for Rogue One's Bodhi Rook to return. He is a pilot for the Empire in the years leading up to Rogue One, and it is through this experience that he becomes willing to betray them. The show could use Bodhi to expand how it shows what life is like working for the Imperials. There likely is not a path for Bodhi to play a prominent role in Andor season 2, but perhaps his pilot days included delivering supplies to the Death Star site. This could even explain how he and Galen Erso got into contact.

How Galen Erso Can Return In Andor Season 2

Galen Erso greets Krennic upon his arrival on his families farm in Rogue One

Andor's Death Star tease could also be used to help Rogue One's Galen Erso appear in season 2. It is known that Galen plays a significant role in the construction of the superweapon, so the continued exploration of that development would necessitate Mads Mikkelsen's return. Andor season 2 giving Galen Erso more screen time could allow the franchise to expand on how he went about creating the Death Star's weakness under Project Stardust. It would also provide insight into how difficult life was for him at this time and what level of contact he attempted to have with the Rebels and Jyn.

How Bail Organa Can Return In Andor Season 2

Bail Organa looking serious in front of a dark background.

There is also a seamless way for Bail Organa to return in Andor season 2 to give the show another Rogue One character appearance. The political side of building the Rebel Alliance was prominently featured in the first season with Mon Mothma's storyline. Season 2 should continue to build on this thread and show her and other Rebel-aligned politicians assembling. This has to include Bail Organa based on what is already established in canon. Since Jimmy Smits already reprised his role in Obi-Wan Kenobi, another appearance on Disney+ in Andor season 2 is hardly a far-fetched idea.

Other Rogue One Characters Who Can Return In Andor Season 2

Ruescott Melshi in Rogue One

Much like how season 1 featured Melshi and made him a significant recurring character, season 2 could do the same with other side characters from Rogue One. General Draven and General Merrick returning would make sense as the Rebellion forms as they can assist Cassian in new missions. Meanwhile, there is a strong likelihood that Tivik returns to set up Rogue One's opening scene with Cassian. If the show wants to include some more recognizable Rogue One characters, Andor season 2 could also include Admiral Raddus or Grand Moff Tarkin potentially.
