As production gets underway on the next chapter of the show, regal Andor fan art reimagines the Star Wars series villain as an 1800s military officer. Denise Gough stars as Dedra Meero, a methodical and ruthless member of the Imperial Security Bureau's (ISB) Security Council. Following Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Luthen Rael's (Stellan Skarsgård) daring escape from the industrial planet Ferrix and the brazen attack on the Imperial garrison at Aldhani, Dedra uncovers a connection to a greater rebellion against the Galactic Empire and dedicates her efforts to quashing the insurgency once and for all.On the heels of Andor's season 1 conclusion, artist Scadarts took to Twitter to share their interpretation of the Star Wars show's chief villain as a military officer from the 1800s. The stunning work places Dedra in the Portrait of P. M. Rayevsky, Cornet of the Life-Guard Hussar Regiment by Ernst von Liphart. The officer's white coatee matches the ISB uniform's stark white color, with the piece even adding Dedra's rank plaque to complete the effect. What's Next For Dedra in Andor Season 2?

Dedra Meero in Andor Episode 9 looking intense

Andor season 1 concluded in dramatic fashion for the ISB Supervisor. After learning of Maarva Andor's (Fiona Shaw) death, Dedra orchestrated a sting operation to capture Cassian during her funeral procession on Ferrix. With officers, snipers, and soldiers situated around the city, Dedra locked down the event with little chance for Cassian's escape. However, B2EMO shared Maarva's last words which encouraged the citizens of Ferrix to stand up to their occupiers. Caught in the middle of a brutal riot, Dedra was saved by Syril Karn (Kyle Soller), the disgraced former Deputy Inspector for Preox-Morlana.

As a result of her experience on Ferrix, Dedra will be undoubtedly convinced of the existence of an organized rebellion to overthrow the Empire. She will be more dedicated than ever to track down its leaders and crush any insurrectionists wherever found. With Syril proving himself in a chaotic situation, rescuing Dedra from probable death, the Imperial officer will likely use him as an asset going forward. Where the ISB disregarded any rebellious activities as separate acts of disobedience, the organization will use their full resources to combat any insurgence-related incidents in the future.

Andor season 2 will be the final season of the series, as it will reportedly cover the four remaining years of Cassian's life prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The season will be broken up into four blocks of three episodes, with each block focused on a single story arc developed by a writer and director team. With Andor season 2 expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2024, audiences will have to be patient to see what Dedra has planned for Cassian and the Rebellion next.
