And Just Like That… season 2 gets a major filming update from Sarah Jessica Parker. The Sex and the City sequel premiered on HBO Max back in 2021, following Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they began a new chapter of their lives. Though the revival generated mixed reactions from fans and critics, and was originally intended as a limited series, a season 2 was announced last March. In addition to Parker, And Just Like That… season 2 will see the returns of Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, and Evan Handler.

In a recent Instagram post, Parker revealed that filming for And Just Like That... season 2 has wrapped. This is the most significant update to arrive for the series in some time.

Along with a photo of her and co-star Nicole Ari Parker celebrating the end of production, the actor complimented everyone involved in making the series.

And Just Like That... season 2 has been teased by Parker and other stars for months through behind-the-scenes content, including an early look at the script. The return of Aidan Shaw (John Corbett), while exciting for some longtime fans, has led to questions surrounding Carrie's storyline moving forward, especially after season 1 ended with her and Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez) kissing. There has also been speculation over the possibility of Samantha (Kim Cattrall) returning since, despite Cattrall's departure from the franchise, Carrie still keeps in contact with her.

With the latest confirmation that season 2 has wrapped, it seems likely that And Just Like That... will premiere some time later this year. During the season 1 finale, titled "Seeing the Light," Carrie started her new podcast, which was named "Sex and the City." Elsewhere, Miranda (Nixon) headed for Los Angeles, and Charlotte (Davis) had a Bat Mitzvah.

While And Just Like That... did not resonate with every viewer, many still appear excited for season 2, which will reportedly feel similar to Sex and the City. Parker's recent post highlights how much the show's stars enjoy returning and suggests that more episodes of the franchise revival are coming soon. Those eager to see what happens next for Carrie and everyone else can be sure to tune into And Just Like That... when season 2 airs.
