After several months of hard work, a team of dedicated map builders and programmers have made it possible to play the full game of Among Us inside the motorsports soccer game, Rocket League. This isn't the first time Among Us has been recreated in some form in other video games, but its crossover with Rocket League is definitely the most ambitious.

Lethamyr, a professional Rocket League player, along with a small group of creators has worked work the past few months to recreate a fully functioning version of Among Us inside Rocket League, building a large portion of the game from scratch. Lethamyr would post regular updates to Twitter while also streaming the process live on Twitch. During the long wait, Lethamyr continued to ensure players that everything crewmates and impostors can do in Among Us, the cars will be able to do in Rocket League.

Now, Among Us in Rocket League has finally been completed and is available for everyone to play. Lethamyr uploaded a video to YouTube giving a brief rundown of the process of building Among Us and what players are capable of inside the automotive remake. The minds behind the creation of the map are Lethamyr, Gidek, Cinderblock, and Corina. This small group worked together to 3D model, texture, code, and mod to make sure players were able to fully experience Among Us from the comfort of their driver's seat. And their hard work paid off.

When Lethamyr stated that the Rocket League remake would allow the player to do everything they can do in Among Us, he wasn't overpromising. Just like in Among Us, crewmates travel around the map completing tasks to fill the taskbar, and Impostors hunt down the crewmates to eliminate other players. Impostors can sabotage and vent. Emergency meetings can be called and bodies can be reported. Players can even view their location on a popup map. While only the lobby area and The Skeld map are included, the technical feat that is Among Us in Rocket League is mighty impressive.

Of all the Among Us remakes, seeing the process behind recreating the game in Rocket League makes it one of the most ambitious fan-made remakes. Among Us can also be played in Minecraft, Fortnite, and even Animal Crossing, but the amount of effort that Lethamyr, Gidek, Cinderblock, and Corina put into the Rocket League remake dwarves the others in comparison. For players who are too cheap to fork up $5 to play Among Us on PC, there is now an even cheaper and fairly impressive alternative that is free for everyone.
