Beginning as a breakout hit on Steam and mobile devices, Among Us has since come to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass. The social deduction game is also coming to Xbox consoles in 2021. Will Among Us Release On PS5 & PS4?

Among Us PS4

Although an official announcement regarding an Among Us release on PlayStation consoles hasn't happened yet, the game will most likely come to PS4 and PS5 in the new year. There aren't any known licensing issues to explain why PlayStation consoles wouldn't get Among Us, but for whatever reasons, perhaps InnerSloth has focused on bringing the game to other platforms first.

One of the major concerns players had regarding a PS4 and PS5 release of Among Us was how controls would work. Discussions and in-game chat are important aspects of the game, so how would PlayStation consoles handle communication features? All of that appears to have been answered with the Switch version of Among Us, which uses the console's virtual keyboard for discussions - a method what will assuredly be repeated on Xbox and PlayStation platforms. This explains how Among Us will work on PlayStation, but it doesn't explain why InnerSloth still hasn't shared more official news regarding that version of the game.

For now, this remains the biggest mystery. Most likely, InnerSloth is simply choosing to focus on Switch and Xbox versions first, with a PlayStation release still imminent. While PlayStation users may be disappointed a version of Among Us hasn't arrived on their preferred platform yet, the game will most likely arrive on PS4 and PS5 in 2021.
