Tasks are a staple feature in Among Us, serving as short goals for crewmates to complete in order to win the game. They come in multiple different varieties and are occasionally even exclusive to certain maps, meaning that with every new map that gets added, more tasks are introduced as well. The launch of The Airship came with several new and altered assignments, and since then even more have been revealed or added.

The Airship released in Among Us in late March as the biggest map in the game so far. However, the Among Us roadmap, which was revealed during 2021's Summer Game's Fest, reveals that other new maps are in the works. This announcement also came with the reveal of the Hide and Seek game mode, several additional roles, and more customization options for crewmates.

Primarily, Among Us follows similar social deduction games like Mafia and Werewolf. Finding and eliminating the Imposter is arguably the main goal of the game. However, tasks are important when it comes to adding more variety into the experience. As Among Us' popularity seemingly weans following its 2020 surge, the continued addition of new tasks can help to keep current players invested.

New Among Us Tasks From The Airship And Beyond

Among Us Every New Task Added To The Game Since The Airship

The Airship map saw the return of tasks that had already been featured in previous Among Us levels, although some were altered to varying degrees to fit the new setting. Similarly to other maps, The Airship also came with sabotage opportunities for Imposters. Other tasks saw no real changes at all - for the sake of brevity, this list will only contain pre-existing tasks that were significantly changed or new tasks that were added to Among Us' Airship:

  • Put Away Pistols
  • Put Away Rifles
  • Unlock Safe
  • Stabilize Steering
  • Reset Breakers
  • Make Burger
  • Clean Toilet
  • Develop Photos
  • Decontaminate
  • Empty Garbage
  • Sort Records
  • Rewind Tapes
  • Fix Showers
  • Pick Up Towels
  • Polish Ruby
  • Dress Mannequin
  • Start Fans

The Stabilize Steering task was a part of the latest 15-player update, and another new task, Clean Vents, will be introduced to Among Us on July 7. The update will allow crewmates to block Imposters from using vents during that time period. While it's only a temporary setback, it will still allow crewmates a new opportunity to get the upper hand over Imposters, which in turn can help spice up the variety of gameplay in Among Us. As future updates roll out, players will no doubt have plenty of additional tasks to look forward to.
