In recent months, there have been countless mods added into Among Us. Many of these are available on the popular Skeld.net public server, and they're made by fans. The Morphling mod allows players to take on the role of a Morphling. This means the Morphling can go around and collect DNA samples of their fellow crewmates and then morph into them. They can kill crewmates disguised as another crewmate, which means Impostors can fly under the radar for a lot longer - and possibly even get innocent crewmates ejected. It's a ton of fun, and it's definitely worth checking out. Here's everything else Among Us fans should know about the mod.

How Among Us' New Morphling Mod Works & Why It's Fun

Among Us - Imposter Hush

At first glance, the Morphling mod may seem the same as the Janitor role mod in Among Us, but that's not really the case. While it's true that the Janitor role can take on the disguise of another crewmate, the Janitor essentially just helps the Impostor by cleaning up dead bodies. The Morphling mod actually gives Impostors the ability to turn into other crewmates themselves, which adds an extra layer of deception to the game.

The Morphling also has a unique set of abilities at their disposal. In order to collect a DNA sample, the player will need to stand close to another crewmate and hit the "Sample" button. Once the DNA is collected, the player can hit the "Morph" button to turn into that crewmate; however, the effects only last for a limited time. So, the Morphling will need to act quickly in order to kill another crewmate while disguised and add to the confusion over who the actual Impostor is. Fans of the Color Changer mod in Among Us will find that the Morphling mod is similar but far more sinister.

Overall, the Morphling mod can be a ton of fun, and many Among Us fans should absolutely love it. The mod adds an extra layer of deception to the social deduction game, and it can definitely make finding out who the true Impostor is even more difficult.
