The final installment in a fan-made Among Us animated film series, titled Imposter Finale, reveals the final form of the game's Imposter. Among Us is a free-to-play mobile game that, despite releasing back in 2018, received a massive spike in popularity last year. The game tasks a group of players to cooperate and repair a spaceship, while also being hunted by player-controlled alien Imposters.

Due to the popularity of Among Us, and the simplicity of the game's rules, a number of mods have been created to breathe new life into the cooperative mobile game. A Thanos mod for the game, which gives one Imposter the extraordinary powers of the iconic Marvel supervillain, has been created by popular YouTubers Sub and Fletch. The custom game mode allows the lucky Imposter to flip the game map, take control of other players, teleport freely around the map and turn helpless crewmates to dust. Another popular mod for the game, the Detective Mod created by YouTuber Socksfor1, turns one crewmate into a detective capable of tracking other players' footprints.

YouTube channel 3D Print Guy, which is responsible for creating a number of amazing 3D animated videos, has recently concluded a trilogy of Among Us-inspired short films. The final film in the trilogy, Imposter Finale, provides a horrifyingly realistic look at what a typical game of Among Us would look like in real life. The short film also depicts the final form of the game's iconic Imposter, portraying the typically inconspicuous alien as a terrifying spider monster. The short, which is about four minutes in length, concludes 3D Print Guy's Among Us trilogy in spectacular fashion. Among Us developer InnerSloth has also given the animated short a shout-out via Twitter, drawing further attention to the impressive creation.

Among Us's huge spike in popularity has made the game a staple of the video game industry and modern popular culture in general. Recently, Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has spoken up about his appreciation for the game, though the gaming icon also questions whether the mobile title's popularity will last. Developer InnerSloth seems determined to continue Among Us' high level of popularity, promising to add free additional content to the game. A new map, called Airship, is one such addition that is set to arrive in the very near future.

Among Us has inspired a ton of creative fan content, from artwork to cosplay to animated films. Among all of these fan tributes, however, 3D Print Guy's hyperrealistic animated horror trilogy stands out as particularly effective. By combing a simplistic aesthetic with a terrifying atmosphere, these shorts are able to capture the full depth of Among Us' concept.
