Fitness and crewmates now go hand-in-hand thanks to an Among Us fan, who shared their impressive Imposter-shaped run route on Reddit. Despite launching in 2018, Among Us reached great heights of success in 2020 amid COVID-19 due to its social deduction and multiplayer gameplay elements.

When the world was facing lockdowns and various bouts of isolation due to the pandemic in 2020, Among Us became one of the hottest games on the market. That same year, the game was one of Steam's best-selling titles, and - as of July 2021 - sees between 10,000 and 20,000 players on Steam at any given time. Among Us' simple premise, cheap price tag, and interactive gameplay made it the ideal title for lockdown parties and a great way to socialize responsibly. As a result, the once-seldom-heard-of game ultimately became an award-winning title, and Among Us developer InnerSloth saw its team grow in size as new maps and crewmate colors were added through a variety of updates.

The recognizable crewmates (and Imposters) have inspired Among Us fans to replicate their iconic colors and shapes in the past through cosplay or fan art, but others are manifesting the Among Us spacemen in other ways - as demonstrated by Redditor CageyMallard. Hopping onto the Among Us Reddit feed, CageyMallard shared a picture of their " very sus" run, in which they used the local city’s grid system to mark out an Imposter on their route tracker. Several fellow Among Us fans applauded CageyMallard for the effort - and running pace - that went into producing the Imposter rendition.

It is unclear what the future of Among Us holds outside of being used as running inspiration. When things took off for InnerSloth in 2020, InnerSloth decided to forgo a sequel to focus on the aforementioned updates instead. However, there are some who feel that more could be done to keep the game fresh in 2021. The most recent Among Us map – the Airship – came under some criticism for its overlarge size and tricky tasks, and there have also been calls for more accessibility options to be added to the game in general. InnerSloth revealed it will address accessibility concerns in a future Among Us patch.

However, with their simple, iconic designs, the crewmates' and Impostors' look is evidently one area that is still just as popular as it was at the peak of Among Us’ fame. Those who don't even play the game can recognize its colorful protagonists (and antagonists). Even if Among Us doesn't return to such heights in the future, the staying power of its crewmates and Imposters can continue leading to recreations like this "sus" run route.
