Although it released in 2018, Among Us skyrocketed in popularity last year before becoming a part of the cultural zeitgeist. Despite this, players are still finding new and unique ways to play the game thanks to mods, and they're also discovering Easter eggs hidden across Among Us' four maps. One of these clever homages seem to be a direct reference to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

To date, players have found all sorts of hidden references to other games inside of Among Us. Admittedly, many of these refer to developer Innersloth's Henry Stickmin games, such as the Hall of Portraits Easter egg on the Airship. However, some Easter eggs referencing iconic moments from sci-fi movies and popular video game franchises have also been discovered over time.

Although longtime players may have found many of these references already, newcomers to the social deduction game (or even veterans) may have missed a cleverly hidden tribute to The Legend of Zelda. The Zelda Easter egg can be found while exploring the MIRA HQ map in Among Us. It is here that crewmates may get assigned the task of watering plants in storage and stumble upon some flora that looks a bit familiar to any fans of the long-running Nintendo franchise.

Where To Find The Legend Of Zelda Easter Egg In Among Us

Among Us Breath of the Wild Easter Egg

While playing in MIRA HQ in Among Us, one of the flowers in the Water Plants task looks a lot like a Korok from the Legend of Zelda. Although featured in several Zelda games, Koroks are arguably most ubiquitous to Breath of the Wild, since players could find 900 Koroks in BOTW as part of an ongoing mini-game. Much like the Koroks hidden in that game, the one in Among Us can get overlooked if players aren't paying attention.

Given Among Us' penchant for including references to movies and other games, as well as different aspects of pop culture, it's perhaps not surprising to find a Zelda Easter egg. The franchise is extremely popular, and Breath of the Wild is the newest mainline entry (although BOTW2 is expected in 2022), so it makes sense that the developers might include a reference to that game specifically.

Every map in Among Us has its own unique setting and subtle references, but the Zelda Easter egg in MIRA HQ is arguably one of its most impressive. Fans of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild should enjoy finding the Korok in Among Us, since it appears to be a great homage to the mini-game found in BOTW. And with a new fifth map on the horizon, there will likely be even more Easter eggs to discover soon.
